I'd like to see an end to Twitter embedding.

As I can't see any of them anyway.
I like the twitter embedding but can't see them either if I'm using a VPN.

Just a minor bugbear of mine, but when a link is posted can the forum settings be changed so that it opens in a new window rather than taking you away from the forum? Usually it's just a tick-box in content management systems that I've used.
+1

Found what I hope was the log in problem. Don't think I can fix the mixed content though (meaning "content is not secure" warnings are here to stay), since we let people embed off-site content. I can only force https on our end.
It worked. Doesn't log me off all the time. Thanks.

Edit: Btw the notifications when you've been quoted doesn't work.

I'm on Chrome. I ate... I mean delete the cookies and it's still the same. Log in. Close the tab. Open a new one. Need to log in. And now didn't notify me of being quoted.
While you're logged in and have been browsing around a bit, does the URL look something like this?

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9395&sid=abcdefhijklmnopqrstuvwyz

If so, I think you've got Chrome set up in a way that rejects cookies, so you're only able to stay logged in while you've got that &sid= there (which would normally be stored in a cookie rather than the URL, if cookies are behaving properly you should only see &sid= on the first page after login).

Fix for that would be hopefully be:
- Go to chrome://settings/content/cookies
- Allow, ADD [*.]toonforum.co.uk
The problem obviously is at the Chrome at my laptop. All good on wife's laptop.

So this is how we will feel in a feminist world... Not good.

I formatted my C drive, updated the operating system and then ran every security patch and everything works fine for me.

I'm having this issue too.
What browser are you all using? I'll relax some of the login matching stuff as well. And try this, which will log you out, but gives us a clean slate to work from: ucp.php?mode=delete_cookies

I keep getting a warning “website is not secure “ when trying to log in via iPhone
It's fine, a few http links/images (rather than https) that I'll mop up at the weekend will hopefully stop that. Might be related to the cookie issue depending on browsers...
