Remember watching our back-to-back Cup Final defeats in the late 90s :(

(Only on TV obviously)
Was coming here to say this actually. I remember not knowing what was going on the year we played Arsenal, then balling my eyes out after Man utd beat us.

I remember the '98 cup final as this like huge occasion at our house, we had all the family round and my dad kept telling me off because I kept trying to get up off the sofa and play with my toys.

I was only 6!

I quite enjoyed the 0-2 defeat to City at home the year we finished fifth and they first won the league (not the Tiote offside game, f*** that).

We gave it a really good go, the banter with the City fans was quality before, during and after the game and both sets of fans applauded both sets of players and each other after the game. Was just a really good game played in a jovial atmosphere that you don't see anymore.

Trying maybe to think of a game where we had a man unfairly sent off and battled unsuccesfully...
Not to mention the Steven Taylor shooting incident was in that same game.
<laugh> exactly

Yeah, that's not happened recently or anything has it? <erm>
I didn't see the Forest match, was revising. So can't really be my favourite. My favourite matches are ones I've attended

Very enjoyable loss today. I especially enjoyed Colback's performance.

Losing to a relegation battling Blackburn twice in one season might be my favorite losses....

We were actually half decent for the first hour or so then capitulated in the end. Either way it was a great game, my first trip to The Emirates and a cracking day out. Great night out afterwards too.
I think this might have been in the same week as the 4-3 to Man Utd..?

Peak Pardew.

It's painful in hindsight, but the 4-3 Liverpool loss is one of my first memories of PL football. If I'd already been a Newcastle fan it would have been excruciatingly painful, but instead it led to me developing my fandom for NUFC (I didn't have a favourite club yet).
