Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Brentford
Depth may still be an issue. But long term results are correlated with wage bill. As Andy Brassell says any PL team in conference league, due to wages should be favourite
A long European campaign and maybe a first trophy in decades would be fun.

Re: Alcohol
It's less the age but the having kids that has curtailed my drinking. Apart from not finding the time and /or babysitter, the disruption to sleep and having an early start cut my down alot. Some weeks I'll have a Sunday drink with d&d. Actually like drinking session wise, its what five times a year....

Re: Football Titbits
Maybe reading into that too much but "Boss" makes it sound more like one of the owners rather than a manager. Though confirming a manager would narrow down who it could be and conflict with the anonymity part. If its a manager, since its was in UK in 90s, its one of five right? Moyes, Dyche, Howe, ...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
I'd hope that Kelly is mainly used as back up rather than having lots of game time, I'd see him more of an upgrade on Dummett, basically like a Krafth for the left side/CB I think his injuries should be managed ok with limited games, but again after this season there are plenty of questions to be a...

Brave an honest decision, would have been so easy to keep quiet about it. Hopef...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Yeah I missed that Don suggested two defensive names. We'll need a decent goalkeeper backup right? Karius and maybe Dubravka will leave. I feel like this coaching staff has got the most out of our players. It used to be teams saying "that nufc player is under-utilised, we can get value from improvin...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
I'd be disapproved if we let Longstaff go for £15m, no way do we fill that position for the same price. As a backup to the extent you'd hope Murphy ends up next season he's perfectly decent, especially when he isn't playing every game injured. Yeah if he's rested and fresh he's a decent high energy...
