Re: Championship Predictor

I had

Brighton 102
Newcastle 100
Huddersfield 99

However I have been pessimistic with results going their way and ours being draws etc. Didn't predict a loss for anyone one though <laugh>

Re: MMA Thread

Seems he has a bit of a fan base! My cousin is a fan as well! He put a bet on him... says he can pack a punch. This was the first UFC I stayed up to watch (not the best one), but I'm gonna start following it more. My cousin and uncle having been showing me the ropes and the who's who of UFC. We wat...

Was that on the same card? I don't remember watching that...

Yes on prelims I think though <scratch>

Overeems KO of Hunt was brutal.

Lando hype derailed as he doesn't really know how to defend against strikes

I think we'll have a betting company/beer logo on the front (literally a hunch no source) and sports direct on the sleeve (hunch again)

Re: Match day - Huddersfield v NUFC

Just back from watching in a local bar. Thought first half Rafa got the tactics spot on. Penalty was soft but after recent ones we've conceded I would say fair. Our second Murphy did really well for worked hard and never a foul. Second half I thought we defended really well but the substitutions con...

Re: Match day - Huddersfield v NUFC

I'll be watching it found somewhere here showing it at 23:15 KO

Not got a good feeling think we will go 1-0 and lose 2-1 opposite of midweek, I'd be delighted with a draw.,

Re: The Message of Awe Thread

Well I had an Indian mixed grill on Friday with several pints, a chicken kebab with cheesy chips and bolognese on Saturday and then party food today (scotch eggs, mini pork pies etc.) with more beers. Turns out it's quite a toxic combination. Didn't you used to be a vegetarian? That must have been ...

There's still been no announcement on next season's sponsor, has there? The tour guide at St. James' a few weeks ago said Heineken (Brown Ale) looks likely but then I remembered that he probably doesn't actually know much Surely we have people lined up but maybe with a quote of two different prices...

Re: Pavel's eBar

Just got asked if I was becoming a hipster (I haven't shaved for a fortnight)...not sure if that's a good or a bad thing... It only becomes a "hipster" beard if you groom it. Beards which grow because someone hasn't been arsed to shave for a fortnight are by definition not hipster. It's p...

Re: Match day thread - Blackburn Rovers v NUFC

Technically we are on for 95pts based on our points per game. how? if you're taking all seasons form then yes but as i said earlier based on last 8 games form continuing then we're heading for 85. Our points per game for the season is 2.08 I think we could easily put another streak together. Today ...

Re: Match day thread - Blackburn Rovers v NUFC

Is everyone still confident that we'll gain automatic promotion? I'm not. no, we're on target for 85 points and thats not enough. plus there's a chance we'll have a selection from leeds, reading, derby, sheff wed, huddersfield - maybe even an inform villa by then the way they're going for the play ...

Re: Match day thread NUFC v Sheff Wed

No urgency and from the start it was obvious we needed Mitro on to deal with their physicality. Disappointed with the setup of the team as a whole. Got to say Dummett and Lascelles extremely poor tonight.
Whole team though just sideways passing was like watching 11 Michael Carricks
