Is it too early to start the "Line-up v Spurs" thread?
Probably not, we’ve already made our summer signing.

Re: New Fixtures.... and it's Spurs (h)

I think thats a good start personally, the big teams players coming back from the WC and none of the teams will be firing at 100% that early either. so id rather these games out the way now rather that when we are in the thick of it and they in top gear. And because we play them early our fixtures ...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2018)

Why do people assume we would pay for Kennedy in full, upfront? I know that used to be a something that worked in our favour but since the increase in TV deals/general price inflation i'd imagine that's no longer the case.

Re: Spain manager sacked

Surely they'd be best just keeping the existing coaching staff in place and promote from within until the end of the WC?

Bringing in a completely new manager with new ideas could derail their entire tournament.

Mirror saying the Stoke are after Gayle.
Just signed Afobe on a 6 month loan deal with obligation to buy in January. Seems an odd agreement but would surely mean no £15-20 mil bid for Gayle.

I’d be very disappointed if Rondon was our main striker signing this summer.

Break your fingers off for Rashford on loan, somehow can't see that happen.
I have a feeling he’s going to have a good WC which would rule any unlikely move out anyway.

I've heard the Sob on the Tyne banner can be used to wipe the tears of 10 Villa fans at a time.

Haven’t kept up to date with any of the post-season talk so can anyone summarise Rafa’s immediate future and budget talk? As much as we ever know the truth of our budget that is..

Re: Netflix Recommendations

Just started walking Safe on Netflix, it's got the guy who was in Dexter and Six Feet Under as the main character. Only seen 2 episodes but pretty decent so far, it's about him searching for his teenage daughter who goes missing after a party and people trying to cover things up. I watched 2 as wel...

Re: Zidane quits Real Madrid

Id rather have Tuchel over Zidane. Are you talking about Tuchel over Zidane for PSG or about Newcastle? Because I was talking about Zidane at PSG. Tuchel doesn't have a good experience with dealing with so called "stars" and players with huge egos. Unlike Zidane. I have a huge doubt that he will co...

Re: Lampard appointed Derby Boss

I'd say both him and Gerrard have walked into massive jobs, Derby and Rangers are hardly nobodies, they should be earning their stripes in the lower leagues like Kevin Nolan, the only reason they have those jobs is purely down to their reputation as players. It's quite pathetic and laughable really...

Re: Lampard appointed Derby Boss

I like the way he speaks as a pundit, I know that doesn’t mean anything in management but I would actually like to see him and this new crop of newly retired players do well in management so we can start breaking the tired carousel of Moyes, Allardyce etc. Plus Lampard > Gerrard as a player and will...

Re: Kit Thread 18/19

We always seem to leave our kit releases late, you’d think it makes more commercial sense to wear them on the last game of the season like some teams do and like we have done in the past.

Then again, when has MA ever done anything for us that made commercial sense..

Re: Wenger to quit at the end of the season.

I'd be concerned that he didn't win the treble both years (see Celtic), and that he oversaw the complete bottle job vs Barcelona last season.

That said, Arsenal at present is more like the Sevilla job so i'm intrigued to see how he does.

Could you have imagined Shelvey tearing up Panama man, it'd be an exhibition for him. Instead we'll have Henderson and Dier passing sideways.

Yeah I was surprised how much game time he’s had this season.

Have to make room for Livermore though don’t we.
