Re: Pavel's eBar

Today was one of those days that put everything into perspective. A young girl from the office next to me was killed at lunchtime by flying debris. Only in her 20s, don't know who it was yet but bloody awful. Puts all of our usual day to day stresses and complaints into perspective. <rose> Jesus <e...

I don't think I've ever been as angry as when I used to play golf. It's the most infuriating sport ever invented.

Aye you are right. I like it actually but my missus pulls one of those faces when I suggest going. It really is focussed on beer drinkers, as you would expect from a brewery

I can't believe they didn't get a single yellow. Some horrible challenges and shirt pulling but ref just wasn't interested. Yet another poor referee for us!

Slightly harsh on Mitro perhaps but it's hard to argue against starting your top scorer.

Re: What is your favourite beer brand?

My sister lives in Sussex and there's a ton of nice, small breweries round her part of the world. If you're ever down that way I'd recommend anything by Harvey's. Sussex Best is my favourite draught they do, while Copperwheat is my favourite bottle. They also do a really nice ale called Albion but ...

Re: Hayden injured - out for possibly 4 weeks

Colback can't tackle, almost every time he attempts to be gives away a foul.

That's quite an important skill for a defensive midfielder to have.

Re: Places to Eat In Newcastle

Café 21 at Trinity Gardens near the law courts on the quayside. A mix of traditional and modern, never had a bad meal there. Good service and loads of local produce. Blackfriars in, well, Blackfriars... Local produce again but more traditional, hearty food. Been once and it was great, lovely whisky...

If anyone thinks Mitro should be off, you're on drugs.

The first yellow was ridiculously soft and the challenge on Ikeme wasn't clear cut at all.

No way there's a kg of salt in soy sauce.

There seems to be a fair bit of disagreement about the lethal dose.

Duke, any chance you can do an experiment?
