Re: World Cup 2018 Match Thread

I find our failure to unlock the scoring record he has with Serbia, and then our failure to play him at all, to be one of the biggest frustrations I have had supporting us in recent times and that is saying something. Not really sure what we can do to stop him missing sitters. As opposed to the qua...

Re: World Cup 2018 Match Thread

Agreed. I thought he was a bit sloppy on the ball, and badly anticipated play at a few points. One particular example was him running forward really late to attempt an offside trap as play totally passed him by in the other direction. I did think he got better as the match wore on - though they als...

Re: Pavel's eBar

<laugh> That's it, as long as you live normally that's more than enough to retire on even if you're only in your 30s. If I earned 30k per year for the next 35 years that'd be just over £1,000,000, so living off £1.5-£2m would be easy. Even better, if you had £2mil, you could buy a £500,000 house ou...

Re: Spain manager sacked

According to a few journalists there’s talk that the powers that be in Spain were concerned that he would use his position as national coach to run the Barcelona players into the ground with training exercises in order to weaken them before the new season. Apparently the players have absolutely no c...

Jon Flanagan leaving Liverpool on a free. Would anyone take him to offer cover at fullback? Basically to replace Gamez/Haidara/Manquillo. He was highly rated a few years ago, and I'm pretty sure he can play either side.
Nope but I’d take Emre Can....

Just sat for 20 minutes and worked this cronut out only to come on here and discover the condition that England have beaten Tunisia 3.0. Didn’t see that so in my version they won 2.0. f***s sake.

Second yellow for conceding a foul against a player who should have had a straight red.

Anyone familiar with Manchester or Birmingham?

Morning chaps, I’m on work experience and as part of a brief I’ve been set I’m trying to I’m trying to write some targeted adverts relating to Manchester and Birmingham. I’m trying to get light-hearted stereotypes about particular areas of the cities. A bit like yummy mummies of Jesmond or hipsters ...

Re: West Ham want Rafa (part #163)

SSN is as bad as the tabloids ... yesterday Rafa was about to walk into West Ham .. this morning "West Ham are in talks with Manuel Pellegrini" .. they make it up as they go along .. he's not leaving for West Ham of all clubs. Forgetting the fact that Shelvey and Lascelles both deserve a spot, I’m surprised not to see Milner given the season he’s had. Milner over Delph I’d have thought.

Re: MIDWEEK FOOTBALL - 8/10 MAY 2018

For all the weekends games seem pretty meaningless now the difference between finishing 10th and 15th is around £10m in prize money so I'd like to think Rafa has drummed that into them. Win and we’ll have an extra £10m to spend on replacing you with a better model. Not sure the incentive is there...

Re: Match thread - NUFC v WBA

I’m happy we’ve reverted back to starting Gayle. Slimani has done well as an impact sub so far and didn’t do the business against Everton when starting. Stick with the winning formula for now. I know this may sound weird, but now that we're guaranteed safety maybe we should give less experienced/ou...
