Re: Match day - NUFC v Swansea
Why doesn't Rafa pick Murphy more. He had an assist against Stoke City, and is dropped against Swansea. He has been a stalwart whenever he has played, and done well for his country (Ireland). Rafa, please start picking him more. Today, against Swansea, two very very valueable points were lost, all t...

Re: Match day - NUFC v Swansea
I haven't seen the goal - but I've heard it was a nutmeg - does it look like a quality goal, or a poor shot which, by pure chance, managed to find its way into goal?

Gayle has now started 9 matches, scored 3 and had 1 assist, in this season's Premier League. He has, in recent weeks, dipped strongly in form.

Re: Gayle's great Premier League start
He definitely should've scored the one where he hit the bar. I reckon Shola would've put that away. Also think eh should've done better with his otehr chances too. I strongly disagree - I think his chip was absolutely excellent. Here it is, for anyone who is curious. 0.33-0.41 https://www.youtube.c...

Re: The Joselu Thread
Joselu has been dire, but in recent times, he appears to have improved (which is important since Benitez picks him regardless of how good he is). 1 goal and 1 assist in his last 4 starts. Let's hope.

Re: Gayle's great Premier League start
Gayle has started 7 matches, scored 3 and had 1 assist, in this season's Premier League. If he starts today, then I think we'll win, although Joselu should be dropped and replaced by Rolando Aarons. And remember, footballers run around, they don't stay in the same position in the whole match, they f...

Re: English managers' achivements in the last 30 years
I haven't actually called any of them successes, but I do think very few people would class Southgate's Under-21 Euro quarter-final as a success. I don't really want to go down the route of debating the definition of success, but under normal circumstances, I would definitely class getting Leiceste...

Re: English managers' achivements in the last 30 years
What's your definition of success? You class Shakespeare as a success for taking Leicester to QF of the CL even though he wasn't in charge for the whole campaign. Similarly Pearce only got the u21s to a final, he didn't win it. And Roeder finishing p7 in the league isn't really a great representati...
