Re: World Cup 2018 Match Thread

Great game, Ronaldo will get the headlines but Isco was sensational.

Re: The Message of Hate Thread

Always reverse in. Can't understand people who drive straight in. Reversing out into a big space might be easier than into a parking space, but you don't have to creep into the space slowly in case any cars or people are going past. Driving straight through is obviously the best way though.

Re: The Walking Dead.

Second half of the most recent series was actually really good I thought. Really good in comparison to recent series or really good in comparison to the early series tho? Really good compared to the first half of the series. There were still some issues but without spoiling it it actually felt like...

Re: Game of Thrones

Does anyone watch it? So far I'm 8 episodes into the first series (so please no spoilers <laugh>). Took a while for me to get into it, but its getting really quite good now. Going to watch the rest of the series next week some time. It s getting better and better after that !! It's the best series ...

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2018)

I'd hope so! Whatever we'd pay for an improvement on Mbemba would be a lot more expensive than that. Though I know it's hard to keep depth players happy when they're not playing, especially one like him who should be in the prime of his career. Not sure we would replace him to be honest. We could d...

What a w*****. I was willing to drive the 340 miles each way in car that I would not trust to make the trip.

Re: Players from (possibly) relegated teams

He's literally spent the last few seasons playing there for West Brom <scratch> Are you thinking of Michael? I just messaged a friend who's been a ST holder at WBA for donkey's years and she says he's a CB. He has played at RB, but he's a CB playing at RB. I'd still say it's in the same way Dummett...

Re: Players from (possibly) relegated teams

Dawson is more of a RB. Well, a Dummett-like RB in that he is a defender that defends and looks like a CB. He'd be a solid addition as a squad player. Could rotate him with Yedlin depending on opposition, could cover CB or play in a back 3/5 if we use that formation again.

Re: Squad Next Season (if Ashley keeps his word)

Torres definitely too old. Has been s*** for about 7 years now.

Cazorla has played 12 times since November 2015. And none since October 2016. Wouldn't touch him on a pay as you play deal.

The transfer fee for Sissoko was payable over 4 years. Reminds me of Spurs fans all saying they could sell him after a year and he'd only cost them £6m <laugh>

Re: Squad Next Season (if Ashley keeps his word)

Haidara was promising but I honestly think he lost something after that horror tackle at Wigan. In my mind at least he seemed to struggle to regain form and confidence after that. Not sure we can say Haidara was promising until that game considering it was less than a month after his debut. Think h...

Re: Wenger to quit at the end of the season.

The idea that Pep had a ready made squad at Barca is a complete myth. It certainly wasn't a bad team! And he knew the club inside out from the youth team up, and managed the B team. It's completely different to Arteta taking the Arsenal job. It wasn't a bad team by any stretch, but they'd just fini...
