Re: Cricket
Denly not the long term answer. England and Australia are both teams in transition and need long term planning, to be stronger for the next Ashes in 2021/22 (probably the next time I'll be on here).

The fact that I come on here in the first time in goodness knows how long and go to the Message of Hate Thread and find this.

Re: Match day thread - Ipswich Town v NUFC
Good grief what a mopey bunch. Huddersfield had done nothing lately to suggest they were going to run off 5 wins in a row, they've been choking lately - while without a lead in the standings like we enjoy. I'm as unhappy as anyone with recent form, but perspective is something most people seem to l...

Would take second right now but from this situation it's very disappointing what has happened.biggeordiedave wrote:Yeah I'll take second, no problem about that.

Right players aren't out there, are cost too much. People talking about us signing this Barrow lad, if that the calibre of player available then keep what we've got.

Re: Match day thread - Blackburn Rovers v NUFC
People seriously rate Gouffran and Hayden? They are awful, Hayden offers nothing apart from the odd tackle and even most of them are fouls. Gouffran is useless, Colback played in 12 wins in a row and plenty don't rate him. Because he's s*** <grinch> The point was people rate Gouffran cos he had a g...

Re: Match day thread - Blackburn Rovers v NUFC
We all knew that this season would be tough, but I definitely think we'll finish first or second. I don't care whether we win the league or not but I can definitely see us finishing p2. Just got trips to Brighton, Reading, Huddersfield and Norwich to come, not to mention the fact are players are sc...

Re: Match day thread NUFC v Sheff Wed
Really, thought we lost 4 at home (THAT IS NOT RUNNING THE LEAGUE), we play at lot of big teams away, we need to be careful heed the warning of tonight. THIS IS THE WORST TEAM WE'VE HAD IN YEARS, the players choke regularly at home when expectation is high. Hayden's s****, Ritchie a gutless rubbish...

Re: Match day thread NUFC v Sheff Wed
WE ARE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! Settle down chick. We're in the Championship and we're pretty much running it. We'll go up and invest in the summer which will make us premier league quality. Really, thought we lost 4 at home (THAT IS NOT RUNNING THE LEAGUE), we play at lot of big teams away, we need...

Newcastle 3 - 4 Man City in 1968. City won the league, got us in the Inter Cities Fairs Cup and we won it. Still our last trophy to this day.

If my memory serves me right then this guy got Nolan sent off in the Championship, last time we were in the league, he was playing for Watford.TBC wrote:Lansbury's going to get some reception when he comes here end of the month, cronut.

Re: Shelvey facing ban
Well he's missing at least 3 games now. Only got himself to blame. Needs to learn to control himself better. Stop just talking about how he's learning and how he's needs to be more responsible.

Re: Preview: Newcastle Utd vs Blackburn Rovers
Just got back from the match, 7hr round trip. First half was crap, we never got going. Mbemba and Gamez particularly were well off the pace. Thought Shelvey and Hayden did ok in midfield, Richie and Atsu showed some good bits but not often enough. Perez may as well have not been on the pitch, compl...

Re: Preview: Newcastle Utd vs Blackburn Rovers
Unless he's knackered then Gayle needs to start every league match. I also rate mitro, it's just perez I'm personally not keen on. Murphy has a lot of goals at this level and he needs a game or two at some point. Murphy needs game time, those two want dropping for their performances today, Perez wa...

Re: Shelvey facing ban
Seems very strange to me, said at the time that I felt watching the game that the referee was harsher on black players than white games. That said if he has then he deserves to be banned. Wolves players are a disgrace anyhow.

Re: Nufc v Wolves match thread
It was pathetic, got a feeling Wolves are only bothered about playing the higher placed teams, van win comfortably at Birmingham and Newcastle and look rubbish most weeks. Zenga said it the players gave up early the other night. As for Diame the guy is a lazy poor mans Sissoko on what I've seen so f...
