Re: Matchday thread - Toon v 'Ammers

Considering Bruno should have had that second yellow, I'll take the draw and no suspension. The comeback was nice while it lasted...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Citeh

Great result and what a fight we put up in the second half - although we could do without the extra fixtures. Hopefully Isak was just a precaution... Good to see Lascelles and Dummett putting in a solid performance when called upon.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Sheffield United

Is that the record for highest number of individual goalscorers for one team in a PL match?

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Sheffield United

Is Longstaff particularly bad at buying a foul, or do they have it in for him and ref isn't believing it? Feels like there have been 3 potential fouls not given already this half, and a few in the first...

Hopefully Anderson gets a goal to get us up to 3x Newcastle fans scoring, then get Murphy and Hall on for theirs

Re: 2023-24 Champions League!!!

I may be wrong - but I have a feeling we have never played a competitive game against either of these 3 teams? Not since 1969 anyhow ? nufc.com agree: The Magpies have never played any of those sides competitively in their history before, but visited the San Siro to face Inter in this competition i...

Re: Lewis Hall Deal Close?

I hadn't really noticed him until The Athletic did a piece on our LB targets the other day. He sounded like the strongest match of the four - a ball-carrying wing-back with good attacking numbers who is also an effective one-on-one defender, but was discounted due to being expected to sign a new lon...

Re: We Are Newcastle United (Amazon Prime Video)

Wasn't this always known to be more about the business side of things? IIRC Howe didn't want a camera crew in and around the team all the time for an All Or Nothing type series

We Are Newcastle United (Amazon Prime Video)

Episode 1 went live at midnight, with another episode following for the next 3 Fridays. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/video/detail/B0CBJC45DB/ First episode was good, had a bit more access than I was expecting. Interesting to see some of the negotiation strategy, and how early the ambition was turned ...

Re: The Match Tickets Thread

My ticket is in Leazes East Corner, not sure I'd have ever picked that, but I'll take it. There's another chance to get tickets, according to nufc.com: For any STH not attending wishing to resell their seat to NUFC, that process is now live. Details here . PS: regarding how to buy any ST seats offer...

I've just entered my ballot for the Villa game - haven't got a scooby about the categories though or which category is where in the stadium <laugh>
I think people are relying on this visitor's guide from 2017 for that info

Re: The Match Tickets Thread

Are they trying to reduce demand by giving people no control over price? Seems like a tonedeaf way to handle this, especially with the cost of living crisis, etc. Surely it's not hard to offer people entering the ballot a choice to which price bands they're willing to be included for? I'm sure there...

Well three memberships secured £111 invested in futility …….. we shall see in due course.
What about hospitality ? Anyone know if that’s open season on a first come first served basis ??
Ah, but you have the privilege of feeling even closer to the club, and you can't put a price on that.

Re: The Match Tickets Thread

Presuming the ballot is one entry per membership and you can register in advance, that seems fairer than hoping you're not busy at 10am on a weekday to try to load the site a million different ways in hopes of maybe having a chance to get a ticket.
