Re: Pavel's eBar
It wasn't too long ago that Britain had the same view as that. It would be helpful to see the same question asked to young Muslims specifically. I think that would give a better idea on whether integration is succeeding or not. This raises a couple of issues for me. Immigration from majority Islami...

Re: Pavel's eBar
I think you are confused.... Clearly. Care to clarify? Well I don't understand why you would think that something under 40% can't be the most. The tories got the most votes last election and they got less that 40% of the total votes. Assuming for argument sake that Muslim tip-offs account for 40% o...

Have you got a source for this? Yeah sure. ICM Polling: https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/apr/11/british-muslims-strong-sense-of-belonging-poll-homosexuality-sharia-law However, when asked to what extent they agreed or disagreed that homosexuality should be legal in Britain, 18% said they ag...

Re: Pavel's eBar
I thought most prevented terrorist attacks are down to tips from Muslim communities? I would be interested to know if that was the case. Muslim communities helped U.S. security officials to prevent nearly 2 out of every 5 Al-Qaeda plots threatening the United States since 9/11. https://www.mpac.org...

Re: Pavel's eBar
I hate the fact that when events like this happen you either have to be an Islamic hating racist cronut or you morph into a 60s do-gooder praising peace to all. I made a quite sensible comment at work today that the Islamic community must start doing more to root out the extremists and begin the pr...

Re: General Election 2017
The Tories also haven't even done some of the basic homework regarding Brexit and negotiations are supposed to start in a matter of days. Instead they've distracted themselves with a needless election. An election that last month they stated was absolutely not going to happen.

Re: General Election 2017
Tbh I think May's clueless leadership is more of a threat to the economy than nationalisation. I wouldn't say she's clueless. Any leader would have a huge learning curve with article 50 and it's unknown permutations. We've only just erected the market stall and we've yet to put our goods on display...

Re: General Election 2017
https://www.ft.com/content/b18a28ca-3af3-11e7-ac89-b01cc67cfeec True but the point being we have a negative outlook on our credit rating, which has already fallen once in the last year, and with a few knocks from Brexit then our ability to borrow "freely" could be taking a substantial hit. Throw in...

Re: General Election 2017
Costs To nationalise an industry, government needs to borrow money to acquire the company. The Conservatives describe this as a huge cost, increasing government debt, but economists say that if nothing else changes, the public sector will have balanced the debt increase by acquiring an asset of equ...

Re: General Election 2017
You literally need people working low paying jobs though for our society to function. Do you just ignore that and say those people don't deserve certain things? If you have a highly motivated workforce then those jobs are minimised (many can be done by robots, which you're seeing introduced more an...
