It worked with Wilson and ASM as split strikers. The whole idea of the system was to get the best out of our front 3.Colback's Orange Tufts wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 9:41 pmIsnt this odd formation with players out of position his thing?

I wonder what gems Bruce will come out with tonight. This is gonna be quite the performance summary.
Hopefully it’ll be the clowns last interview as a Newcastle manager

I can't wait to see the stats after this game. We've barely strung two passes together. Brighton playing in 2nd gear.

Pathetic

Worst performance since Leicester 2014/15. How does Bruce still have a job?

I don't have the words to express how angry I am at that capitulation. And it isn't just Bruce, because no matter how inept I think he is i'm sure he didn't tell the players to go out and ignore all the basics of football. The players were just as guilty as him for that shitshow.

No mate - it’s the same for us who live here unfortunatelyToon Ireland wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 9:41 pmI'm not sure I care whether we go down or not, football should be a bit of enjoyment and a break from reality for 90 mins, but these cronuts are awful. I don't blame them too much tbh. He's lost the dressing room and he's under coached them so they're unfit in comparison to the opposition. They're chasing shadows in a disjointed fashion and that just adds to the work that needs to be put in. Coaching makes a huge difference at every level and we don't know what to do with or without the ball.Donkey Toon wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 9:58 pmI don't have the words to express how angry I am at that capitulation. I thought as much tbh, it really is a shame to see how the club is being run. The writing was on the wall when Bruce was appointed I think, it seemed to be a big regressive step. 40 mil for Joelinton is just mind boggling and the lads in Hoffenheim are probably still on the piss after that. My interest in football in general is on the wane and it's down to watching NewcastleToondes wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 10:01 pmNo mate - it’s the same for us who live here unfortunatelyToon Ireland wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 9:41 pmI'm not sure I care whether we go down or not, football should be a bit of enjoyment and a break from reality for 90 mins, but these cronuts are awful. A total surrender interview !! Talk about reinforcing the negative
What a load of the same old garbage from Bruce. Every team we play are great, after every defeat we need to dust ourselves down and go again.
We need to hang in and nick something. Aye very good .........
Lucky to see six points from the remaining games.
Looking exceptionally gloomy and tonight it looked to me that Bruce knows for a fact it’s way beyond him

More than anything else, I am just bored with us now. From top to bottom the whole club is so predictably dull - couple that with a few other elements with the modern game and I'm honestly losing my love for it. And that's the most depressing thing. After 2-0 tonight I barely paid the game any attention.
There is no sin except stupidity.

Had been doing well of late to a degree.
Steve and I seem to have opposing views on what doing well constitutes.

It's alright, Bruce accepts that he's in charge and the buck stops with him, not that he'd ever resign, just that he knows that he's meant to be the manager.
