They could be 5 points behind us by that point with any luck.

I'm still just shitting it that they somehow beat City in the cup.

Four nil, f***ing hell <laugh> I know we lost to Palace, they aren't s****. But christ almighty Man U are f***ing awful. If we lose to them in the next couple of games, it's all on us.

Manure 3 nil down.

I swear Euro qualification is gonna come down to our match at their's. They'll beat us. Find their mojo from nowhere.
For "mojo" read "dodgy decisions". After all, they are fairly awful - yet seem to get an awful lot of help to keep them in a euro spot.

They also currently have more out injured than we do - not something that we could say for many games this year.

I'm pretty sure that Man City not winning the cup will negatively effect us in terms of european places. If we finish 5th, it's moot. But whilst we are in good form and Spurs are not, it's still moot. And they have the Sheffield voucher left to cash.

If the the Premiership was just, Manure would be around 12th.

But what if it's a really tasty hat? It's unlikely we'll finish 5th, but it's far from impossible. Couple weeks ago when we were 3-1 down(Edit: against west ham), the season was over. Mid table mediocrity. Now we are looking up at worst.

If it's a tasty hat and not my hat then it's a win win situation...I think. I've typed out this reply so many times I'm not sure what type of hat and tasty win/loss value it has and....

....anyway. To be talking about Europe now. It's just great. We're a club that tries now as well and that's more than can be said about the shower of s*** we were under (owner wise) for the last 15 years before this.

If we beat Brighton at Weekend and ManU lose at home to Arsenal ( very likely ) .... then its virtually a cert we will finish above them - we'll be 5 points clear- and a 20 goal superior gd which effectively means 6 points

We'd need 1 point from last 2 games

Chelsea are perhaps a bigger threat. But they have Brighton away & also worse gd than us .

Reckon Chelsea will get a max of 6 points

So it could be us & Chelsea on 60 pts - we stay ahead on gd.

Get a fiver on it

If Man Utd win the cup and finish below 6th that means only 5th place goes to the Europa League. We need City to win the cup.

Dortmund 2-0 up on aggregate- f*** you PSG <laugh>

We’ve got more chance of winning the CL before they ever do, no wonder mbappe has had enough!

Putting aside my joy at PSG going out, an all German Champions League final (where neither team won the Bundesliga) in a season where the Super League reared it's head again and most PL clubs are raising ticket prices to "be able to compete while complying with FFP" would be absolutely delightful. Or as Mats Hummels put it last month:

It would be delightful, all while Klopp et al sit at home moaning about fixture congestion yet happily pocket the riches that come with it.

I wonder how many players / managers would accept a pay cut in return for TV companies paying less for PL rights and therefore having less say in the scheduling of games? If players and managers want the obscene contracts that they get then the price to pay is tv companies who are lining the players / managers pockets get to decide when games are played. If tv companies have less control then they’ll pay less money, clubs get less income, players and managers get paid less…

Very pleasing.
PSG are just an incredibly unlikeable team with an arrogance and entitlement that’s clearly misplaced.

I loved Shearer calling out Pep to his face while he was ranting about congestion after that FA Cup game. Needs to happen more.
