Not sure where I could have posted this but...
Unless Yaya Toure's agent apologises to Pep Guardiola, the midfielder will earn close to £10million without playing a single game for Manchester City in the final 10 months of his contract.

Pep said that the agent should apologise to the club, not him.

Southampton could move for Paris St-Germain forward Hatem Ben Arfa, 29, whose future at the French champions is in doubt despite only joining the club from Nice in the summer.(Daily Mirror)

What a t*** HBA is
After bouncing around the likes of Hull and Nice you'd have thought he'd knuckle down at PSG.

Adebayor turned up to meet the Lyon coach as he is a free agent and then asked for a whisky in his coffee and had a cigarette hanging out his mouth.

He just can't help himself, Ben Arfa. One good season at Nice and he's let it all go to his head again, seemingly.

I'm very sure he acted exactly the same at Nice. However he had a manager who was willing to let him do his thing as long as he delivered on the pitch. Same way Bobby Robson could handle Robert and even Bellamy to an extent, whilst souness failed with both straight away.Heisen wrote:He just can't help himself, Ben Arfa. Robert and Bellamy tended not to turn up to training not fit enough to be a professional footballer though. You can't coddle a player who can't be arsed.

Still remember Bellamy interview when I think we'd put a crazy bid in for Rooney and his response was he wouldn't be hanging around to play second fiddle. Massive ego too.

The Rooney bid was weird, it was obvious we weren't serious about getting him. Weakening Everton as more realistic rivals mebbe?

Everton weren't really rivals back then were they? We were CL and they were probably relegation contenders. But yeah, he was never coming to us.Colly wrote:The Rooney bid was weird, it was obvious we weren't serious about getting him. Weakening Everton as more realistic rivals mebbe?

That was definitely the end of our little glory period though, we were certainly more likely to be challenging Everton in midtable than Man Utd, Arsenal and emerging Chelsea at the top. That's pure guesswork, it was clear we only bid to prompt Man Utd to which makes barely any sense...Bodacious Benny wrote:Everyone weren't really rivals back then were they? We bid for Rooney in August 2004. Everton finished 4th that season.Bodacious Benny wrote:Everton weren't really rivals back then were they? We were CL and they were probably relegation contenders. He's stated a desire to work harder on instagram so he's not given up just yet. Doesn't help that the manager is well out of his depth though.Heisen wrote:He just can't help himself, Ben Arfa. One good season at Nice and he's let it all go to his head again, seemingly.
