Who Will Win The Prem This Season?

Post by Heisen » Mon Nov 07, 2016 10:02 am

Thought I'd chuck this in here to generate some discussion during the international break ( <urgh> )

I was adamant City would walk the league this year but it's been a pretty electric start from almost all of the teams up at the top. I've chucked Man Utd in but I don't think they stand a chance really.

Chelsea seem to be playing as well as Liverpool yet keeping clean sheets. Think they'll do it this year.

The Premier League is getting tougher and more unpredictable each year, anything could happen. Before the start of the season I said City, but who knows, there's no clear favourite. I do agree with you Heisen however, and don't think Man United will achieve much this season. Mourinho to leave at the end of the season?

Chelsea, as I think the team with the best defense will close out the most tight games. Even city can come unstuck in this league when a 'small' team digs in and play well. And Kolarov as a CB doesn't convince

Hard to predict but I think City might edge it right at the end.

Spurs for me but it does depend on how far they go in Europe.

I said Man Utd before the season started, got caught up in the Mourinho/Zlatan/Pogba hype.

I think it'll be City or Liverpool. Would like to see Arsenal do it but expect their usual collapse before Christmas.

I reckon City will walk it in the end once they properly find their feet. Guardiola's teams tend to.

I put Chelsea in my lucky 15 at the start of the season at reasonable odds (with Newcastle, Scunthorpe and Doncaster, it's looking pretty good for once...) and I can certainly see them doing it. I always hate the Europe argument, but not being in it has certainly allowed them to keep a consistent side, if Costa and Hazard can stay fit and on form they've got a good chance.

Went for City, think they'll have too much. Spurs are a good shout, hard to beat. They were my prediction at the beginning of the season.

Chelsea for me but it's going to be bloody close. Conte is starting to get them playing the way he wants and Costa / Hazard could hit 35+ goals between them (and they'll lock more teams out than Man C or the bindippers).

Spurs still haven't sorted out their problem from last season; being overly dependent on Kane. Jansen looks like a bit of a donkey.

True, Liverpool don't have a forward in form at the moment and are still scoring for fun. They look very dynamic this season, maybe better than when they had chewy Lui

Chelsea.

The others are too vulnerable defensively.

Picked City as well. Chelsea have played well, but as others have, I have doubts Costa can stay healthy and they haven't demonstrated they have other strikers who can score.
