I disagree, this defence is already suicidal enough without yedlin bombing forward as wellHjl wrote:Lacking pace at the back, I'd consider putting Yedlin on at half time

Not sure if that's how they've played all season, but if it is then it has worked wonders for them this season so no point changing it.Don Sholeone wrote:Id hate to be a Preston fan, its literally hoof it soon as you get it
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?

Their keeper is Dominating their area but we keep crossing it so close to him

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v PNE
He frustrates me more than any other Newcastle player. I would love nothing more than for him to be our new talisman and spend the next 10 seasons banging in 20 a year, but there's just no f***ing movement out of him. There's no attacking intelligence whatsoever. A striker's dream of a ball rolled along the 6 yard line and he's stood at the edge of the box watching it roll by. A shaky goalkeeper and he's not even trying to exploit it.Bodacious Benny wrote:From me Mitro needs to start the final 3 games to show what he can or can't do. Playing one game then being benched for weeks again does nobody any good.
He needs to spend all summer watching the likes of Shearer, van Nistlerooy, Andy Cole etc because at the minute he's just another Ameobi.
Don't hinder the Trinder

Well if we didn't, we wouldn't even be in this division...UlversToon wrote:Why do we always have to make things so bloody difficult for ourselves?

We're just letting them play now... wtf
It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.

I don't understand why he plays Shelvey so far back, we don't keep clean sheets and he offers nothing of value back there.

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v PNE
our build up play is so tedious and predictable, pass it around until shelvey has an inch of space to pass into a wall of defenders

I really like Anita, genuinely one of my favourite players for whatever reason. But I do agree, I think Yedlin should come on at half time. Personally prefer big Vurn in the centre at any rate.HowayTheLads wrote:Anita is just not at the races today.
