Re: Match day - NUFC v Swansea
Why can't Gayle put away his chances like he did in the Championship?

Today once again showing that Newcastle are in desperate need of a clinical striker. Every player who’s been through on goal so far looks indecisive or poor

Where is the Gayle that terrorised the championship. I don't remember him needed 6 chances to score a goal.

Swansea are virtually a Championship side on paper, should be bringing out the best in Gayle!

Mitrovic is running again, I'm sure he'll be back playing soon enough

He's now not even commenting on the game, just how poor of a game it is.originallad wrote:One of the poorest matches this season according to Jonathon Pearce.

It's January and our top scorer is on what 3/4 goals? I just think it makes our job far harder than it has to be, throw down 20m on a striker and we are guaranteed safety imo.Tsi wrote:Negative f***erDon Sholeone wrote:
That makes it more frustrating to be honest, knowing we are a decent striker away from possibly top 10 and being comfortably safe. We can create chances but we seem to need 20 before we get a single goal.
I'll have to disagree but i get your point we are desperate for a striker but finding one that can do it is another matter esp. in Jan.

Murphy for Ritchie would be a good move, Ritchies been poor all game bar one pass in the first half

I just get more frustrated at not making any chances than making chances that's all.
