It’s his second time doing it as well. Sad in a way as he’s obviously got bigger issues.

Re: Darren Gibson
Hope he does time, he could have killed someone. Typical Mackem player though, he missed (fortunately)

In many a mackem's eye that will be the equalizer - one own goal apiece

You could tell there was something wrong a few months back when that video surfaced of him looking out of shape, pissed as a fart spouting "none of the players give a s***." I thought he was done years ago to be fair.Toondes wrote:It’s his second time doing it as well. Sad in a way as he’s obviously got bigger issues.

On a related note, I had no idea that Marcus Alonso killed someone whilst drink driving during his Bolton days
Apparently came to an arrangement to pay the family £50k and wasn't jailed.

I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?

The bit about the money is particularly awful. I don't think if one of my loved ones was killed by a drunk driver any amount of money could offset It, I'd want justice.

Re: Darren Gibson
Don't disagree with you. But I think a lot of people are taken advantage of in times like that. Same thing when you hear of civil lawsuit pay-offs for sexual assault/rape. First thought is that it's terrible they took money for what happened, then realize the victim fears the court of law won't deliver justice, and the (wealthy) accused know the victim could benefit from whatever money they offer, and probably don't want to continue getting dragged through the legal process and relive what happened longer than they have to. It seems crazy, but the accused so often have more leverage against the victims than they should.Heisen wrote:The bit about the money is particularly awful.
