Wow. Perez does things that make me think he is s***, then out of no where he pulls that off. Ronaldo would have been pleased with that!

Good second half, but got what we deserved for the atrocity that was the first half.

Would've been nice to finish top half.

Left it a little too late, didn't see the first half but much better in the second half from what I read.

Back to the pool for the lads.

Safety was always the aim but if we end the season with 5 defeats on the bounce just because safety was guaranteed in the 33rd game it doesn't say much for this group of players or Benitez' ability to motivate them.

Only getting yourself motivated when relegation is looming is an awful attitude.

Harsh. If safety was our primary objective then it really doesn't matter how it's achieved in my opinion. I think our players have looked a little burnt out, which is understandable. We haven't been awful, we've just not had the same intensity that was there a few weeks ago.

Fair, but for the entire West Brom game and the 1st half today the lack of effort was disgraceful. I thought this group of players at the very least had the effort nailed down, but to just down tools and and play with such little intensity as we have done isn't acceptable in my eyes, safe or not.

Overall it's been a successful season but it would have been nice to end it on a high rather than 5 defeats, which is now looking likely.

Dummett was absolute shyte first half and gave us a mountain to climb - we need better options at full back obviously

20 goal a season striker needed also

Wont happen of course coz Mike is reelin it in plus free adverts so another Joselu guaranteed

Is there even such thing as a 20 goal a season striker any more? At our level anyway, unless you luck out with a gamble from the "lesser" European leagues (Dutch, French, Belgian etc), then there is is no one a club like us can attract. Not for a reasonable price, at least. We have been linked to Bas Dost yet again, ripping it up in Portugal, for 35m. If Ashley breaks the record this summer, presuming he is still in charge, then I will tell OT to put his arse in Fenwicks.

Even in leagues with 42 games you don't really get a 20 goal a season man in this country.

Championship top scorer 19.
League One 27 top scorer then 22 and 18 so not common.
League Two 5 strikers got over 20, top scorer getting 25, so again not common.
National League two strikers got 20 plus.

It's all a bit of a myth the 20 goal man.
