Oh yeah Argentina were dog s***, but that doesn't negate the fact that Croatia have been a really good side for a number of years now.

It's sad but undeniably true,
The last sixteen will not feature Peru,
Despite the tremendous vocal support,
Their efforts have come to naught,
That goes for their goal scoring too,
At the opposition goal, just the odd miscue,
Loudest supporters and best kit,
But returning home, lickety split.

The MotM in the Brazil-Costa Rica game was without a doubt the ref. Had a right f***ing handful with those constant theatrics. f***ing jessies.
It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.

Can't believe Nigeria haven't taken Obafemi Martins. He's still only 29.

Mitro finally scores....
Re: World Cup 2018 Match Thread
Just had Joe Kinnear on the phone, reckons we should sign the big lad up front for Serbia.
And in conclusion, how far had you got through reading this before you realised it was my signature?

I find our failure to unlock the scoring record he has with Serbia, and then our failure to play him at all, to be one of the biggest frustrations I have had supporting us in recent times and that is saying something.

Got to admit it's utterly nonsensical, in our current financial position, to attempt to sell a player of Mitrovic's quality when there's no guarantee we'll stump up the required funds to replace him.
Think Rafa needs to admit he's got this one wrong and give the bloke another chance.

Not really sure what we can do to stop him missing sitters.seatonsluicetoon wrote: ↑Fri Jun 22, 2018 6:09 pmI find our failure to unlock the scoring record he has with Serbia, and then our failure to play him at all, to be one of the biggest frustrations I have had supporting us in recent times and that is saying something.

As opposed to the quality shown by Joselu and Gayle? At least with Mitro you get the sense that he brings a lot to the cameraderie of the team and he is a constant nuisance to defenders. With that comes yellow cards and even sometimes reds but not anywhere near as many as people like to claim. Maybe it’s just a matter of taste but I love that combative style of play. The same reason I likeDon Sholeone wrote: ↑Fri Jun 22, 2018 7:16 pmNot really sure what we can do to stop him missing sitters.seatonsluicetoon wrote: ↑Fri Jun 22, 2018 6:09 pmI find our failure to unlock the scoring record he has with Serbia, and then our failure to play him at all, to be one of the biggest frustrations I have had supporting us in recent times and that is saying something.
Diego Costa and the the same reason I loved Carroll and of course Shearer and Sir Les.

I’ll add, if Rafa really isn’t preparing to stay beyond next season, that it’ll be even more of a travesty if we get rid of Mitro and don’t replace him with better.

He was being held by two men, it was a Kane level VAR fail.
