It's not bad but I think it'll take time for it to grow on me. I'm not so sure I like the shout along choruses . Still going to see them in February though .Amnesiac wrote:

Yeah, the album is a bit different! Although I quite like the shout along choruses I cannot stand Crushed though, like what the f*** happened there? It's cool they're trying new things but god damn that sucks ass! I don't blame you, such a great live band Loved seeing them in Bristol!biggeordiedave wrote:It's not bad but I think it'll take time for it to grow on me. Struggling to comprehend that this is 30 years old. Remember my whole college class going bonkers to this when it came on the radio one day.
Still think it has one of the best intros ever.

That intro
Did The Cult do anything else of any worth? Swear that's the only song of theirs that ever gets played.

I've been absolutely hammering Megadeth recently. Didn't realise how many good songs they have.

Got me all nostalgic so had a look to see if The Cult were touring.Donkey Toon wrote:Struggling to comprehend that this is 30 years old. Remember my whole college class going bonkers to this when it came on the radio one day.

They play the 02 in Feb but it's £60 for a standing ticket. I'm nostalgic but bugger those prices. I'll buy the back catalogue, put the hi-fi at the end of the garden and play it real loud.
Re: The Punk, Metal and Rock thread
Turns out I had actually heard Fire Woman! Decent list, cheers!overseasTOON wrote:Off the top of my head, these are always worth a listen:LiDL wrote:That intro

Such a great band! Saw them when they were doing the big 4 tour thing with Sonisphere and they just came out with classic after classic that I didn't even know they had including this which I have literally no idea how Dave Mustaine managed to play and sing:Ramoan wrote:I've been absolutely hammering Megadeth recently. That has to be a joke surely? 36 tracks and not one of them comes within a country mile of being punk.
