The Punk, Metal and Rock thread
Re: The Punk, Metal and Rock thread
I have just discovered a new band in the past week called Radiohead (from Cambridge I think) - has anyone heard of them? They've just released an album - and have hardly promoted it! How Zany is that!?
I can really see them going on to big things. Although their lead singer Tom York is a bit of an odd one isn't he?
Sorry for the trolling - But has anyone listened to 'A Moon Shaped Pool' yet? Not sure what to make of it myself

Not on Spotify yet so no. Really enjoyed the songs they've released on Youtube so far though.

I am hoping that it is a grower and that eventually I will come around. But so far I have just found it to be very meh. I think part of it, is that deep down I know they'll probably never beat the likes of Kid A or In Rainbows again.Ramone wrote:Not on Spotify yet so no. Didn't even realise I'd done that. I'd meant to edit the postAmnesiac wrote:Quoting yourself straight away Saying that, Modern Baseball are awesome
Also, good video - had that song played at my wedding.

It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.

The Great Southern Trendkill is amazing. Something about a heroin addict screaming that seems to do it for me!Hjl wrote:Just listened to my first ever Pantera song yesterday. They're a great band aren't they?Hjl wrote:Just listened to my first ever Pantera song yesterday. Spent the entire day at work listening to everything they made back to back for 8 hours :D Feel like ive wasted my life to this point.
I prefered Cowboys from Hell album rather than Vulgar display of power. I think the songs were more catchy and more constructive, not to mention Phil Anselmo's voice was on top form on the album (just listen to Cemetery Gates ).

I like pretty much every song from Cowboys from hell onwards. Their first three albums before Phil are pretty terrible. The Deluded Pablo Diego Jose Francisco wrote:They're a great band aren't they?Hjl wrote:Just listened to my first ever Pantera song yesterday.
