I don't get why people constantly criticise him for his long balls forward. He's a very limited player and he knows it, so our midfielders have to come give him a simple 5 yard pass or he'll just play it safe and chip it forward. Either that or he starts trying to make passes that are beyond him and just puts us into trouble.
Seriously? We shouldn't criticise him when he's s*** because he's "limited"?
Seems a hell of a reason to get rid and replace to me, limited player that hoofs the ball almost every time which puts us under more pressure. <laugh>

But as a 4th choice CB, who shouldn't be getting much game-time, unless he steps in and puts in performances that keep out his competition, that's not a deal breaker.

I think the problem is bigger than just Williamson though.

Colo - Crock but useful
Saylor - Crock and crap
Williamson - crap

We really do need CB's and replace a couple of what we have.

I guess you can criticise him for being s*** if you want but people talk as if they would rather he tried to do stuff that he's not capable of.

He regularly hoofs the ball under no pressure when he could very easily pass to MYM or even Krul. He is a Premier League player, he should be able to make 10 yard passes without f***ing them up.

This. Although I thought he's been showing marginally more patience the past couple weeks, there are plenty of times in which he could make a simple pass forward to the CMs or to defenders on either side of them, and instead he kicks it aimlessly back to the opposition. There's obviously a time and place for deep clearances, but he needs to have the ability and confidence to make those simple passes. People don't like Hatem turning over the ball in the attacking third, but it's okay for Willo to gift the ball back to them at half? Not for me.

We were linked with Kouyate recently who is going to be moving to England in January according to his agent. Not sure how good he is though

The question I always ask to the Willo haters is name me one player with experience we could get cheap enough to replace him that's better than him and would be glad to be 4th choice. Answer me that sufficiently and I'll gladly want him gone.

I'd be glad to have Curtis Good as 4th choice.

So you'd have been glad to have him in the back four for the last few weeks against the teams we've played? <scratch>

Based on him completely outplaying MYM against Morecambe. He also looks like he isn't scared of the ball unlike Williamson.

Well he's never going to prove himself without PL gametime.

He was playing first team football(albeit in Australia) at 18 and did alright in his loan spell at Bradford.

Exactly. We moan on about how we're s*** at developing youth but no one is willing to give them a chance.

Adam Campbell isn't even making the bench now. Instead we've got a nearly 25 year old Gabriel Obertan coming on for us <doh>
