Exactly this, the mackems would need at least 20m to replace Defoe with someone as prolific but no one will pay anywhere near that. If they sell him it would be suicide.

I just think this has a different feel to when Russia were making moves a few years back, it's certainly on a much bigger scale.

I have this awful thought of the majority of the worlds best players playing over there in like 20 years. A proper financial system would stop this current madness but FIFA are more interested in ruining the World Cup.
