How'd he manage that? I didn't actually see what happened... was too busy celebrating.TBC wrote:[tweet][/tweet]

Keeper's come together with him with his studs up as he fell down attempting to block the ball and caught Mitro's knee (who was also mid slide attempting to kick the ball) as Murphy tucked it away.

For me Shelvey has been papering over cracks recently, a couple of decent long balls and defensive errors have gifted us a few results when we haven't been playing well. My worry is everyone assuming we'll get back to winning ways once he's back which is far from a foregone conclusion in my view.Jaiston wrote:We don't just need Shelvey, we need a couple more creative midfielders and a winger and everything is quiet on that front. Would have hoped we would have been looking at signings, especially when we knew Shelvey would be out for a period of time.

totally - I for one am gonna make a point to never slag Shelvey off again whenever he has a bad game because he adds a lot more to the team than any other player and we to only have 3 out of 9 league points since he's been missing speaks for itself.Colly wrote:For me Shelvey has been papering over cracks recently, a couple of decent long balls and defensive errors have gifted us a few results when we haven't been playing well. Amen to that. This was the issue when people criticized him last year, his performance does vary, but he's the only creative central midfielder we've had for the past two seasons, and it's been our biggest area of need for years now. You can't consistently create goal opportunities without skill and creativity in central midfield, and that's been blatantly obvious with Shelvey missing.gawalls wrote:totally - I for one am gonna make a point to never slag Shelvey off again whenever he has a bad game because he adds a lot more to the team than any other player and we to only have 3 out of 9 league points since he's been missing speaks for itself.Colly wrote:

Not including this 5 match ban, it was shown in the Notts Forrest game - when you neutralise Shelvey you stand a much better chance to get a result against us.I'm over Colo wrote:Amen to that.
