The chronicle have been pretty spot on over the last 18 months and if they're coming out saying that the sources behind the mirror article are 'well informed' then we have to take it as such, regardless what we think about the paper.

This. Literally every club should be aiming for good, young players. It was probably just a mid season meeting where the transfer plans for the summer were discussed because forward planning is actually a thing for us now. We spent a fortune in the summer and not a lot of it was on players we could sell on, any owner with a brain would say that that can't happen again.
