Re: Kit Thread 18/19
Since it's just a rendering, I won't read too much into details. But I'd be really annoyed if that's how the arm/shoulder stripes met the chest stripes. I was always annoyed with how the stripes didn't meet/align on the 2010-11 kit too.
Also, hooped socks are the best.

Looks alright to me, won't be buying it obviously but it looks fine.

Not a huge fan of the striped arms... but it’s fine and inoffensive. Wonder if the numbers will be red again, or gold to match the Puma badge. Shame the Fun88 logo isn’t golden too.
I had the first custom w***

The stripes on the sleeves don’t bother me so much. Fingers crossed we get stripes to cover the back and not a single black/white block.

Yeah that really grinds my gears too haha, I don't know what I was expecting but my first instinct was hoping this wasn't the real shirt.I'm over Colo wrote:Since it's just a rendering, I won't read too much into details. We only had that due to a rule and that has since been changed.Juliet Papa Golf wrote:The stripes on the sleeves don’t bother me so much. Fingers crossed we get stripes to cover the back and not a single black/white block.

Last year I got the 93/94 kit with the brown ale , better quality better material better feelBodacious Benny wrote:Most teams used to always wear their new kits on the final game of the season but seems to be happening less and less now.
I haven't bought a Newcastle kit for several seasons now, I like this seasons so might get one if they're on sale at the end of the season. I just refuse to pay £50 for a football shirt now.
Re: Kit Thread 18/19
Is there a source for this because I've heard it loads of times but never seen confirmation. The fact that Sunderland, West Brom etc were happily chugging along with stripy backs suggests it was nonsense. There's a chance it was to do with Europe but we used to get around that with a slightly different players kit in the Adidas days, and I'm sure Juventus and Bayern have no issues with it.Barrsky85 wrote:We only had that due to a rule and that has since been changed.Juliet Papa Golf wrote:The stripes on the sleeves don’t bother me so much. It was a cash grab to sell more numbers.

Re: Kit Thread 18/19
I do think it can be a little harder making out the numbers on top of black and white stripes than some other colour combinations. Don't get me wrong, I prefer the full striped back, but I can imagine there are some people who just think it looks better to have a square or plain back (and aren't part of a number printing revenue conspiracy) - though they're still wrong.Colly wrote:Is there a source for this because I've heard it loads of times but never seen confirmation. I'm not sure mate, I'm never sure until i see it in material, I have seen many concepts exactly like that pic but it's from footyheadlines and they are 70% reliableToondes wrote:Is that going to be it Barksy ? Or is that just a rumour ?

Concept Kits have come out with some ideas, what do you think?

Personally reckon the change kits look smart but irregular stripes on the home kit always grate on me.

Re: Kit Thread 18/19
Speaking of changing kits. I'm also willing to try it at least for one season. Not that long ago Southampton have the same kind of stripes as ours. And one season they've change their kit to red and really thin white stripes. Would love us to do the same. Black with thin white stripes.
Re: Kit Thread 18/19
Not for me. That image above is about as far as I'd go for irregular stripes, or the Michael Owen era 'mostly black' kit. Pinstripes just aren't Newcastle.
That white kit looks very Swansea or Fulham.
