It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.

Amazing that people still look at the one off fee you pay for someone as their value. You need to loom at agent fees, signing on fees, wages and that's before you get to the fact that most clubs don't have a 'transfer kitty' for one season they look at it over the course of 3-4 years.
Pointless (albeit fun) exercise trying to work out how much we have to spend or who we will spend it on.

According to Sporting Intelligence
I know there's a lot of other factors involved i.e. wages/ bonuses, season ticket sales, day to day running etc. so no idea what the final sum available for transfers would be.
Also worth a follow if you're into twitter https://twitter.com/sportingintel
Also found this interesting the money made by teams since the prem lge started.

I think I'd forgotten teams equally shared tv money - I'd thought if you got the televised games you got some extra cash back; which would have been good for us considering how often we were on Sundays and Mondays.

Yeah I thought you got extra payments for every televised games.
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?
Re: Squad Next Season (if Ashley keeps his word)
You do. That's why Man Utd got more than Man City despite finishing behind them and why we got considerably more than the teams directly above/below us.Bodacious Benny wrote:Yeah I thought you got extra payments for every televised games.
It's the facility fee column in the table. Merit money is position based price money and facility fees corresponds to the number of times you feature on TV in the UK.

A player like Obi Mikel would be a good signing..

That would be an incredible deal. I could see him staying with us until he retires.Robbotoon wrote:Dubravka set to join Newcastle for 4million sky sports sources http://www.skysports.com/share/11373467 a snip be great signing

Wonder what the wagebill (inc. bonuses) and overheads are? When Ashley says Rafa can have 'every penny the club generates' he means after outgoings...

Re: Squad Next Season (if Ashley keeps his word)
At the risk of upsetting our financial experts, I can't really see any reason (barring Ashley) that we can't reach 100-120m to spend after we factor in outgoings
Re: Squad Next Season (if Ashley keeps his word)
I did see something awhile back about bonuses.Bodacious Benny wrote:Wonder what the wagebill (inc. bonuses) and overheads are? When Ashley says Rafa can have 'every penny the club generates' he means after outgoings...
Newcastle United’s squad will be rewarded with a £11million bonus – if they can finish 10th in the Premier League. The club’s players were involved in a dispute about this season’s bonus sheet when the campaign kicked off.
Re: Squad Next Season (if Ashley keeps his word)
Mad that Burnley finished 7th and got into Europe yet were only on TV 7 times.
