Wasn't there an insane amount of porn everywhere on that forum so it was too risky to even have it opened in a browser at work or in your phone on the train.

And there were way too many keyboard Warrior t*** Princesses.
Can you remember your original BBC 606 name?

I keep thinking mine was Ronaldo but surely that's not right.
I've been OverseasTOON since 2005 on BBC606.

Yeah, it was okay at first but then got hijacked by twats who'd post all kind of weird s*** so definitely wasn't safe to be on the site at work.

12 years on here is crazy. I was incredibly active in the early years, then life changed and I barely got on here. Now I've got a degree and a real job and visit pretty regularly again <awe>
<laugh>

Absolutely a diversion from work for me <laugh>

iirc correctly not606 started ok, then was an early prototype of what lots of the internet would become. Edgelords trying to take over and spew bile, moderation couldn't keep up. Became toxic?
Sounds about right. I don't remember the exact trigger for the exodus, was there some tension between the individual team boards and the overall site moderation, or were people sick of whoever was running the nufc not606 section?

BBC 606 to Not 606 to here. Didn't spend a lot of time on Not 606 mind. Totally different vibe to here.
Rep!

I can't even recall, did we all jump ship from not606?

I'm on the football ramble discord atm, I can't imagine being there 12 years
Presumably any of us who joined around 2012 jumped from not606.

Can't believe I've been on this forum for 12 years now.
Same, Feb 2012!

Before that I was young, had dreams, aspirations of a better life - but seems I'm stuck with you guys instead <roll>

That makes me feel better. I'm 40 in April.

Off to first of many 50th birthdays this year.

Feels this is just taunting me.

We all agreed, old college mates, to meet up for all the 50ths and eventually wear the same "it feels weird to be same age as old people" t shirts as the days progress.

50 in April so guess I should finally act my age gracefully?

Wanted a nice blanket for winter as I got fed up of cranking the heating up, anyways I somehow came across a site that was selling alpaca wool ponchos and they had a sale on down from £100 to £30 so went for it, probably the best purchase ive made in many years, so f***ing comfortable and cosy, really nicely designed, also handmade and imported from Peru which makes a change for most other made in china crap. Its ridiculously hipster and i don't feel one ounce of shame 🤣
Nice! What was the website?

My ex-father in law used to keep alpaca on his chicken farm in Devon and sold the wool (for not much money!).

Apparently alpaca are very territorial and good at keeping fox's away, which turns out is an absolute crock of s*** <laugh>
A site called Gamboa fashion, if you do place an order just be aware the VAT on the item gets added at the checkout and not on the listed price, also there are a few decent voucher codes around to get extra off.
