After many, many YouTube videos I've finally managed to work out how turn off the central heating on our new boiler.

It was getting a tad warm.
I can't figure out the timer on mine for love nor money - I put it on holiday mode when I want to switch it off <laugh>

Health wise I seem to be on the up. After 10 months of constant problems with dizziness, fatigue, costochrondis; the last 3 weeks have seen a real improvement.

Still feel the dizziness everyday but it's sort of always there at the back of my mind and isn't debilitating as much as it had been before.

I've managed to get out the house everyday, walk about 5 miles and am able to get through a day without any other issues.

God knows what it was, GPs are still looking into it and told me to keep coming to see them every two weeks, keep having blood tests and arranged for me to eventually see an ear specialist.

Touch wood it continues to improve!!!

Found out that a guy from my tutor group at school passed away at the weekend, only 39/40.

Randomly it did cross my mind the other day about when will the time come when people that you were mates with at school start dying (not sure why i was thinking that), but wasn't expecting anyone to die so young. Not sure what the circumstances were, hadn't spoke to or heard from him since we were 18. He was a big lad back in school, excellent rugby player!
A former work colleague of mine passed away from cancer back end of last year, was only 31,We had tried to get out for one last pint with him but he had gone from being up and about to gone within 5 days, happened so quickly, docs had given him 6 months, then few days later turned to weeks, a day later that turned into only days, by end of the following night it became his final hours.

Can't help but bring into focus your own mortality. He was in high spirits and funny as f*** till the end, I can only hope I can be the same when it's my time.

I'm still getting used to her being away. She comes back home every few weeks to do laundry, grab food and visit her friends.

Tried to turn her bedroom into a gym... Well, a place to store the gym equipment I never use but she's having none of it.

Cheers for all of that!! Really helpful info to look into areas.

MiniOT is now at uni in Royal Holloway and just finished her first term but she's happy there and looking at doing a masters afterwards so her next 4/5 years are all set and it's a perfect time for MrsOT and I to get ourselves sorted out.

No problem. Happy to help if you need it.

Or a pint if you are up house hunting
Mrs OT found out that still needs to be "London" based for her position so if we moved to Wirral area then she needs to be in London office two days a week which negates a move.

Even booking train tickets months in advance and then a nights accomodation wipes out the cost saving to pay off the mortgage super quick.

Arse. Might be Bedford.
Have you ever been to Bedford…?

Update on my health:

Still have chest pain from costochrondiris but it's slowly fading. The random dizziness/lightheadedness and fatigue are still occuring so the GP has booked me in for a CT scan on my head to see if any issues there.

All other tests keep coming back within normal expected bounds so no huge concern from GPs or specialists.
