Can't believe the 'expectancy' line still gets spoken about us. All we want for now is to stay up, play half decent football and not go on stupid losing runs.

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Goals on Sunday, Rodgers said: “Jonjo is a wonderful technician. You see here, he’s at his best when he plays quickly and when he plays two or three touch he can penetrate. ( )

“He’s one of the few midfield players who will pass beyond people. He can through and like you see (for the second goal) he can go over the top. He’s got a wonderful range of passing.

“The good thing watching him yesterday was he was very composed – it was a very good pass that led to the second goal.

“He’s left Swansea maybe not on great terms for whatever reason but Swansea have done great for him. When he left Liverpool I felt he needed to go to play because there was so many players ahead of him. He was a young player and he wanted to play so Swansea have been great for him.

“He’s done well for Swansea. He’s gone on to Newcastle now where there’s expectancy again, but he’s a top talent. If he can just gain that maturity he’s got all the tools to really sustain it and do really well there.”

Sounds like the Sunderland Not606 lot during our 5th place finish season. "Yeah, well without Krul, Ba, Coloccini, Cabaye, Cisse, Ben Arfa and Tiote they'd be absolutely f***ed!"

Well it was a great team predofrman e like. But at least shelvely, naldy, ayo and mitro. The others I mebtioan were good of as well though.

He was f***ing class like. Without Shelvey, Wijnaldum, Perez and Mitrovic we wouldn't have won today. You could maybe throw Elliot, Janmaat and Colo in with that group as well.

The thing that stands out most is that he only wants to play the ball forward. In a team that can get the ball back to the 'keeper in three passes from a f***ing corner, it's a breath of a fresh air.
