I know the debate has moved on, but I'd just add - another reason that Dummett gets some extra stick is that he's been playing regularly since 2013. Which is to say, a lot have come and gone from our string of pretty lousy sides, and Dummett is still here having made over 111 appearances. Now clearly there will continue to be debate about where he should fit in the squad, but of course a player will accumulate more criticism when they're the last man standing from a series of s*** sides, and have never had a competent competitor for their place.
