This. Our fans need to get over it tbh (and the Huddersfield 'stamp'). Yes on another day another ref might have seen things differently but that'll be the case for every club at some point this season. There will without doubt be a point this season where we get decisions go our way when they shouldn't, that's football.
The issue with the stamp was the ref didn't see it, the media apparently seemed to have missed it and the FA decided to miss it as well. When you're the minnows of the league and you're on form it's amazing what people miss.
i'm really sick of everyone playing the "poor us" card, Mitrovic elbowed him in the face ffs. I've never heard a non Newcastle supporter saying it shoudn't be a ban.

The Kane one is arguably a red but it was seen clearly by the ref and judged a yellow and won't even have been eligible for review.

No chance of that happening though. Nobody even mentioned the 2 Huddersfield players that deserved bans.
Or Harry Kane.
This is my issue as well - not bothered about mitro as it sounds like it was deserved, but when a tackle draws blood from a players head or injures a player for a matter of months and there's no retrospective action or investigation is just ridiculous.

Mitro has been charged with violent conduct. No argument from me tbh. If it was an opposition player I'd say he should be banned.

Always self defence in my book.

Everyone now's that Argentine dwarves are mentalists when they are on the losing side. I've seen Evita.

If Mitro hadn't been able to fend the little bastard off, he'd have lost a leg.

He definitely meant to shove the guy, not sure it was a deliberate elbow. The bloke was just going down which meant the elbow hit the face rather than the shoulder

Mitro's is one of them ones that could have been a red but also might have been a yellow. Doubt he'll get banned

One of those that probably could have been a free kick, a yellow/red if the ref felt like being a cronut. Nowhere near bad enough to even be considered for retrospective action.

Unfortunately there is a witch hunt against Mitro though, led by some of our so called fans.
'so called fans' or people who can be objective even if it's to the detriment of their own player.

If it was a West Ham player doing that to one of our players I'd say he could have been sent off or face retrospective action. I won't change my opinion because one of our players did it.
Just said in the other thread, it wasn't an elbow. He's gone to put one on him definitely but he hasn't swung an arm. It's obviously meant to be barging him to the deck but Lanzini is short.

No doubt he'll get investigated and probably banned for it. But nothing like the Shelvey incident IMO.

Yep <roll>

It's not the worst elbow you'll ever see, but imo there was intent to do harm (and completely pointless given we were 2-0 up).

It's worrying Mitro like Shelvey don't learn lessons . It's stupid for themselves to accumulate points but more crucial is the risk to the team of 10 men and bans make selection narrower.
