He won the ball for Atsu's goal Saturday too. He's been quietly decent last few games, says a lot for English football fans that we don't notice until he has a tackly game...

Oh I don't disagree at all! Just saying I'm not as shocked by the stat as I would have been most weeks.

Player with the most tackles in the prem weekend games ...... Perez
To his credit, he did seem to work his ass off, and was more involved in play than I can remember lately.

Well I didn't think the debate was between them right now while Mitro is suspended, but more broadly. I'm a big Mitro fan, but I obviously appreciate what Joselu is doing right now, and how the team is playing with him leading the line. I don't think it's necessary for everything to turn into a debate about them though.

Because he's smart and wanted his birthday off.

That's just it though, we don't have Mitrovic as well.

I'm happy for Joselu to continue starting while we continuing winning and playing well. I don't think it's reasonable to say yet whether one is "better" than the other though. Right now we're playing well with Joselu in the side, that's what matters most, and I hope it continues. If we need a change, I'm glad we have Mitro as well!

I love their response to Newcastle fans complaining about diving. "Yeah well David Ginola dived in a cup game twenty years ago!" <laugh>

People will immediately want Mitrovic back in the side when his ban is up despite the fact that Joselu is actually better than him.
That's just s**** though. He scored 2 in 2 before stupidly getting banned. He's been on form at international level as well. He's scored more career goals than Joselu despite being 4 years younger.

Well played chaps, thought/hoped you'd blown it by missing those chances :)

I thought we'd go on and win it when we equalised, and almost took the lead, but we got done by a set piece.

On chances you dserved to win, and for the first time this season we looked a bit shaky at the back. But I thought we'd have got at least a point after we equalised, but that's footy eh :)

I was gutted to miss the game, was looking forward for a few beers around the toon, but couldn't make it and had to settle for watching online.

Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season, until you play us again that is ;)
