And even then your own summer spend figures don't live up to your "spent more than double" claims.
The January window is still going and wasn't even included in your original comment and you completely ignored the promotion season and total spent figures.
I can only assume that the total lack of honesty in your reply indicates that you sub-consciously know you are talking s***.
Watch any transfer show / read any transfer news and you'll see net spend mentioned. If you sell a striker worth £10m and replace him with a striker worth £10m you haven't strengthened you've just replaced like for like. You have to take both incomings and outgoings into account when assessing transfer activity and the strength of a squad.
I apologise that the more than double comment was slightly incorrect. I didn't check the figures at the time as I knew it was roughly about that. I'll change that comment to almost double. The point still stands though, Brighton and Huddersfield have done more to stregthen their squads than we have.
I'm aware the January transfer window is still going but unfortunately my crystal ball isn't working so I can only consider transfer activity that has already happened and not what may or may not happen later today.
I dont know what the promotion season has to do with any of this. I was making a point about how Brighton and Huddersfield have done more to strengthen their squads than us since being promoted. An undeniable fact.
Also our net spend in the promotion season was around minus £30m anyway, I can't be bothered to look up Brighton and Huddersfields transfers for it because I don't really care and it's completely irrelevant to the point anyway. However I'd imagine they both had a higher net spend than ours.
