Haller is good too. Albeit I don't think he wanted to come.

I don't disagree with your overall point, but PEA and Lacazette never wanted to play for us and held out for bigger clubs to come calling. As far as I understood we actually offered the most for both of them at one point or another. Definitely agree though that you have to be willing to spend the money to sign impact players.
See, I knew that, but was hoping it would slip by as I couldn't think of better examples to prove my point <laugh>
<laugh> Sorry for calling it out! I have an idea...maybe if Ashley hadn't been so cheap and spent more on the roster, we'd have had a more competitive and ambitious side, and they both would have wanted to play for us! <ok>

Read Aubameyang, Lacazette, Remy, probably Almiron too.

Although there are times I'm glad he didn't stump up, ish, like that Jorgensson and probably a couple of others down the line.

But yeah, stop buying failing Hugh street stores and buy a striker you fat ****.

He could meet us halfway and sign Lenell John-Lewis?
<applause>

Had to Google him, but brilliantly done. And we could probably do worse <laugh>

He was a Nice Plea, but considering his knee injuries I'm personally Glad to see the Bach of him.

Seems hauntingly familiar to the PEA saga a few years ago.
Yeah, but it's not like he ever did anything anyway <roll>

Gameiro is another saga that springs to mind, striker rumour wise.
I was gutted at the time when Gervinho went to Arsenal.

If it's true that we and West Ham offered more but he prefers to play in Germany, can hardly blame the club for this one...except for targeting a player who didn't want to play in England - that seems like a key part of the scouting.
Must be brexit <roll>

Luuk De Jong turned us down for the same club and as previously mentioned PEA did the same with Dortmund, in that case I believe we did offer more as well. Just goes to show that the premier league isn't necessarily the biggest and the greatest some seem to think it is.

Dortmund have entered the race for Plea now

they can offer Champions League football so you'd have to think any deal chance we had is gone
