Apparently you didn't have to tell them, but try getting an appointment from the Nazi on the other end of the phone if you don't provide them extensive details of your medical complaint or concerns.
I tend to be as vague as possible. Obviously the idea is so that they can prioritise people for the doctors etc, but what it boils down to is telling your personal stuff to someone medically unqualified, and I don't think with any kind of confidentiality in place. Also, I enjoy the good old TF derailingness of it all.
