Looks like there is actually something in this. The Press Association, Sky, BT and pretty much every paper are all reporting four bids matching or exceeding the asking price have been made.

The plane is nearly old enough to order it's own ale. If they can't afford a new place, and they afford a number ten? Templeton out! <fist> <fist>

Hah, Templetoon. It's written in the stars.

Can't please people. People get mad if there are no rumours of people sniffing around to buy, they get mad if rumours start of prospective buyers, they get mad if Ashley goes silent for years at a time, they get mad if he talks, they get mad he avoids the stadium, they get mad when he's in his box. People like getting mad.

I won't believe anything until it happens, but it also doesn't have to be a big conspiracy either. If the club ever does get sold, stuff like this is probably going to drag out in the press, and none of it will come to anything until the day it does.

If it is Arthur Blank, i'll never not be able to associate him with Superbowl 51 two years ago. His Atlanta Falcons were 28-3 up in the 3rd quarter so him and his missus went down to the touchline to stand with the players etc. New England then scored 25 unanswered points to send the game into overtime and won <laugh>
He must have heard we were once miles clear at the top of the league and managed to blow it.

He seems very similar in wealth to Ashley, the big difference is he does seem to be a big sporting person with a focus on fan participation, it doesn't seem like it would be a game changer for us but looks like we would at least be more competitive.

Apparently potential buyer is the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank. He also owns Atlanta United whom Miguel Almiron plays for and we’ve been heavily linked with so I’ve now decided that a takeover is definitely happening this time lads no doubt about it.
What if the transfer is a smokescreen for the sale! <ohnoes>
Just looked him up and came across this gem on wikipedia <laugh>
On 04th December 2018 Blank was linked with a purchase of the biggest and best football (soccer) club in North East England, English Premier League club Newcastle United.

I have a feeling nothing will come of this. Call it a hunch.
