I enjoy watching women's sports, now it's getting promoted and there is more participation you can see the quality increasing across the board in most sports, it should only be encouraged and supported more going forward, also loving seeing female pundits, it's refreshing and let be honest, most male pundits talk s**** anyways so I don't why we are trying to hold women to some higher standard, I've not heard a single female pundits say anything worse than the likes of Merson, Rio etc

I have to say this is a little delusive.

I mean.

I am Atletico Madrid supporter and I have gone sometimes to see the women team. Is probably the team that has more fans every weekend and normally you can see 500-1000 fans in the pitch.

In other teams... just 200-300

In some moments of the season, the teams program a match in the men Stadiums, made a lot of publicity and...

Is the things happened last weekeend, with more than 40.000 persons in Athletic-Atletico (quarter final of CUP).

Here, the female team plays three match in men Stadium (Vicente Calderon and Wanda Metropolitano). First time, they was in a decisive match for the tittle between Barcelona and it was near to 15.000 person. Second time, againts Valencia and the numbers was similar. Last, against Madrid, in a real derby, with 20.000 more or less.

Happened the Same in a Levante-Valencia (Regional Derby).

But is was 4 o5 times in 3-4 years...

Is not real.
No te preocupes. creo que se entenderá bien! Ah, my wife is Spanish!!

There are a couple of decent female pundits now, although still a case that some aren’t particularly good and are thrown in as a token gesture. That said, they’re no worse than Merson et al.
There's still plenty of token ones, but Alex Scott is one of the best pundits about, male or female.

Do you also think women's tennis is not a "good standard" of tennis <doh>
I don't mind watching it tbh (the big names) but again wouldn't go out of my way to watch it, and would rather watch men's singles - as it's just better to watch.

You've completely lost me here.
Sorry, I missed out improve.

And by that I mean I don't see women's football ever becoming a "good standard" of football.
But that's not what improve means. :/

Which bit? The last bit is obvious, participation will clearly improve quality.

going back to OP this one was a special one-off because it was a cup semi-final.

But attendances in general for women's football is coming on in leaps and bouunds in Spain. This season so far for example:

League - At- Madrid v Barcelona - almost 14,000

League - Valencia v Levante - 17,000 +

Cup - Barca have had over 10,000

League - quite a few other games have rolled in at around the 8-9,000 mark...

Some of the comments in this thread <erk>

This is terrific and long may it continue to progress. The more this becomes popular and mainstream, the higher quality the next generation will be.
Debatable.

I dunno, the woman’s beach volleyball is pretty good too
LADS LADS LADS

On a serious note, it'll get better soon, and I love that they seem to be proving a point about play acting and diving. They're better "sportsmen" than most of their male counterparts.
