So only after reading the article in the Chron, turns out there's a Toon Army Canada group that meets in a few cities across Canada, including here in Toronto. And Sean Longstaff joined them for the match while on vacation here this weekend! I'm annoyed I've missed out on 7 years I could have been watching the matches with people, and it would have been cool with him there too.
Yeah twitter is good to track them down, I follow a couple of US based groups (Toon Army Chicago and Toon Army Denver) who are pretty active and meet up for most games.
This is one of those rare instances where I regret having given up twitters years ago.

He is, but half the time he wins us a free kick in a dangerous position he gets whinged at, such is the logic of the Perez hater. Creative midfielders aren't traditionally hardmen.

If it was Perez half our fans would be slating him for being soft.
Perez IS soft though. He looks like he is about to burst into tears every time he is chopped down.

Overall we did ok. A nothing game for us while Brighton were fighting for survival. We were brilliant first half and if Mike Dean does his job properly (or we have VAR) then it is game over and we are out of site. I can't wait for VAR next season, we've been on the wrong end of incorrect decisions a lot more than we have benefitted from them in recent years.

Second half wasn't great but it's only natural for Brighton to come out and go on the front foot giving the position they are in and how comfortable we were finding it first half. From the second half display Brighton deserved their point though with a bit of competent officiating in the first half, a Brighton comeback would have been out of the question.

I do think we need to be a bit more clever in those situations though. As refereeing is so awful you have to dive in order to draw attention to a foul. The Schar one for example, if he jumps to the floor instead of trying to stay on his feet, a penalty would be given. It's wrong but referees are so bad at the moment. it's all you can do. If that was Liverpool and Mo salah in that situation, a penalty would have been awarded all day long.

Was travelling today so only seen highlights, but that was a penalty all day long. Score that for 2-0 and it’s game over. Bring on VAR, refereeing has been utterly embarrassing this season. It’s like the penalty we didn’t get at OT!

One of the most easiest, composed, in control and relaxed first half we've had all season. Perez's finish was excellent, looked like a smasher but he controlled it well to hit right in the tops bins and that Rondon chest down was perfect. <awe>
Schar a bit unlucky he didn't score when he came forward a couple times and very honest of him to stay on his feet because if he went down it would've been a pen and a totally different game. I don't weather we were that good or Brighton are simply that bad but at times they made us like Barca we just keep passing it on the floor with slickness, one twos and penetration. Need to do that against teams more often because with Perez, Miggy, Longstaff, Shevely, Ki and our ball-playing CBs in Schar and Leajune we can play more expansive, passing and possession football even though our system's great as a fast counter-attacking team.

Second half completely different though, I don't know why we sat so much back when we should have pressed more for that killer goal. Instead March's sub gave them a different dimension out-wide with his crossing and movement. I had a feeling when Knockart came on we would lose the game as they kept pilling pressie on us and bang we cracked. Kenedy was annoymous I barely say him do anything of note and his decision making is terrible most of the times he doesn't know weather to pass it or run. Shevely looked tired but it's normal after so long without starting but he played really well in the first but energy levels dropped of in the second. Muto should have came in way earlier too. On the bright side atleast we'll get to see Chrissy in the Prem next season <love>

I know it was a dead rubber but that lack of performance has really pissed me off. Why do we bother?
