Talk that we're in discussion with Monaco for djibril Sidibe
Late to the party <awe> Could be a good signing anyway. Hopefully we continue to strengthen.

Got a feeling we might, think we will play 3-5-2/5-3-2 so would expect Longstaff, Shelvey, New CM, unless Hayden stays.

Also speaking of Hayden does anyone else find it suspiciously quiet on him ATM, he couldn't shut up about leaving before, but now Rafa has gone all that talk seems to have died down. <scratch>
I wonder if there isn't the PL interest he would have hoped for? Or if maybe something has changed in his family situation to make him more comfortable? Or if he's just more content about the role he sees himself in with the team.
Still time yet might be waiting for us to sign a replacement. If anything that's changed to make him stay it'll be the reason he wanted to leave his family situation.

I'll be really disappointed if they don't shore up the CDM position before the season. So yes, I'm bound for disappointment.

Whilst we're at it, let's bring back Santon, as he was sick back on FM09, and Kyriakos Papadopoulos always ended up my captain in every save since he entered the game until he became to expensive for my low league starts. What's Freddy Adu up to these days?

He'd be an amazing signing. He was a key component of my NEC Nijmegen that I led to European glory on FM15. He was a great attacking fullback, loved an assist as well.

Linked to Philipp Max from Ausberg who's an attacking LB, also few more rumours about Jarrod Bowen.

Reports that Man U are set to big 30m for Longstaff this week. I hope we stick to the "not for sale" schtick.

Hmm I'm not sure I'd describe any formation with 5 defenders and 2 deep midfielders super attacking....
Neither of those midfielders are what you'd call defensive minded though in fairness. Miggy certainly isn't. That second team would get proper bollocked.
True. But at the same time we could end up being the ''new Man city'' under Bruce. Just wishful thinking. Longstaff holding and Miggy pulling the strings.. would be a attacking line up but could mainly use it against ''easier opposition'' at home and if we want to be more cautious then put Miggy on the wings and Hayden (if he stays) in his place. The three at the back system could work incredibly well if we actually don't just counter attack but dominate possession, be creative, on the front and attack. Hey.. we would get smacked by the likes of Man City and Liverpool playing that but against the rest but why not go all out.. the best form of defense is attack.. I doubt Bruce will be that adventurous but you never know. <awe>

McNeil is more of a winger/wide-man. He created a lot of chances and a couple of assists if I'm also correct? He only started around 15 matches for Burnley and was mainly on the bench until Feb/March times were he started becoming a regular. I've seen McNeil play and his potential is great. Can pick a pass, can cross, can shoot, can dribble, English and he's 19 so massive sale on value if he's successful. For a reasonable price say 15-20 mil we could do worse? When he played Liverpool he stood out as Burnley's only bright spark.. he's a positive winger who wants to run in behind, try dribble past full-backs and not shy to have a shot. I think he'll be a very good signing. Not saying Bowen wouldn't be but I think McNeil's potential is greater and with a more attacking style of play he could flourish more as with Burnley's style of play he's more restricted at times. Put it this way.. I'll rather exchange Murphy and Aarons for someone like McNeil. Could form a real good trio with Miggy and Joelinton if we decide to go to a 3 at the back system.

Dubra
Yeds Lascelles Lejune Schar Ritchie
Longstaff Hayden
Miggy Joelinton McNeil

Or if you want to be super attacking..

McNeil has scored 3 PL goals. Nothing to suggest Bowen is more of a risk than him for the sort of money we are talking about.

This
I'd take someone who's had a solid starring Championship season over a few flashes of capability, no question.

Not sure why we're not in for Harry Wilson as a Kenedy replacement. He wouldn't be more than £25k a week and £3m to borrow. That'd keep Fatty and the Mole happy.
