It's just lazy sexism. Yes the standard isn't as high, nature and decades of nurture have seen to that, but I don't go and watch my local Northern League side and spend the whole game going "well that wouldn't have happened in the Premier League". Largely because pretty much every s*** thing has happened in the top flight at some point, but also because constantly comparing isn't fun when you're watching a decent game, which last nights definitely was.
I even saw one comment on twitter (yes I know) from someone saying there weren't any physical challenges in a game where one of our players picked up a second yellow that could easily have been a straight red.
Referring directly to TJRs point, that missed penalty isn't going to set the game back at all. They happen. Last time round it was a last minute own goal. The mens team have exited tournaments by conceding late penalties. That's football, regardless of gender.
