Newcastle United have been told that Ademola Lookman is not available for loan.

The RB Leipzig forward was a genuine target of the Magpies, but they would have to pay a hefty cash fee to land his services.
According to reports from Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth, RB Leipzig have told the Magpies that if they want to get the 22-year-old Englishman on Tyneside, they have to pay ‘at least’ £22m – the fee that Leipzig paid in the summer.

Been scouted by QPR, we couldn't compete with them.

Great - another striker who can't score - 16 goals in 92 games career stats are crap.
He's not a striker, he's a winger I thought.

twas before my time, not sure its been on terrestrial tv when I could have watched it. Used to get a lift to school from my mate's mum. She was obsessed with Jimmy Nail's music so we had to listen to it loads. Could never bring myself to seek out a show with him in it after that
Auf Wiedersehen Pet starts from the very beginning on the Drama Channel (Freeview 20) from 13:20hrs this afternoon!
naaaaaah

I don't think anyone should be allowed to call themselves a Toon fan if they haven't seen Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. That's basically the criteria. I bet that knobhead guest in the Rochdale thread hasn't either.

New manager in the summer who doesn't rate him as he says his defensive play isn't good enough and he needs to work on it.

Gotcha. Personally I'm less concerned about a forward's defending.
Me either and when you consider that when he first went there in 11 games he scored 5 assisted in 3, so when he is played to his strengths he has a end product something Big Sam said he lacked whilst at Everton.

It's not something I care too much about, although we play a 9-0-1 formation...

After a promising loan there, how come he hasn't be playing this year since they bought him?

manager Julian Nagelsmann is unconvinced by him, having argued that his defensive discipline needs to improve.
