Is it fair to say it was Lascelles' man that scored both goals? I want to like him, he seems a good leader in the dressing room, but still often feel like he's not improving like I'd hoped. I can usually get over his terrible ball skills, but he makes a lot of mistakes when defending too.
I’d go Schar and Fernandez v City, mainly to give Schar a start to keep him happy as he’s been on the bench a lot but Lascelles might need a break as I can’t remember the last time he was out of the team. Probably the start of last season when we bought Lejeune but Lascelles quickly came back into the team after Kane injured Lejeune.
And then I guess when he was out a few months injured this season. But that wasn't a selection decision obviously. But agreed, a little rotation might be beneficial.

Southampton are doing ok at the minute. It’s not a dead cert we’ll lose unless Bruce sets us up the same as last time
Why are we set to play City just after they get beat(so far) again? <laugh>

I’d definitely rotate v City as there’s no way we’re getting anything from that. Definitely give ASM and Miggy a rest, start Carroll, Schar needs a start else he’ll start to get itchy feet - I’d bring him in for Lascelles. Rose back at LB too.

Felt like a no risks approach to the end of that, frustrating but with the quick turn around of games probably sensible, draw is a good result still, probably could have taken all 3 but probably wasn't worth it all things considered. We looked tired, wouldn't mind us just resting players for city and take the beating and come back fresh next weekend.
This. Was impressed with Kraft today he may be suspect defensively at times and not necessary the fastest of full-backs but he was very solid today and showed his attacking quality with his crossing and energetic runs down the wing. Good to see Miggy bagging one and getting into those forward positions his confidence has risen and he looks more of a goal scoring threat now. I say we give players like ASM, Hayden / Jonjo, Lascelles / Fernandez and Manquillo a rest as I don't see us getting nothing from the City game so I'll go with this :

Duba
Kraft Lascelles Schar Rose
S.Longstaff* Bentaleb
Lazaro Miggy Joelinton
Gayle

*If he's still out injured then start Jonjo.

2 wins, 2 draws, 10 goals since the restart and safe with 5 games to play - I won’t moan, I’m delighted with that. West Ham showed v Chelsea that they have some decent players and are capable. Draw was fair today and we showed great character to come from behind twice. It wasn’t so long ago that you knew it we went behind we’d lose, great to see that fight twice.

can't complain about a point, given how the game went. plus we're unbeaten in 6. Bowen looked good today too, should have signed him when we had the chance.
