Who the f*** is harry palmer? Not even a wiki page. A 'local artist', which like 'local comedian' usually means crap but mentions Spanish city at south shields...?

exactly just another example of snowflakes gettin all upset over nothing. taking things out of context and not doing their research
Sounds like you've gotten upset about "snowflakes" getting upset. But don't worry, I'm not upset about you being upset about them being upset, so the circle of unnecessary concern about an admittedly stupid lyric glorifying Geordies hitting their wives has ended.
<ok>

On Yedlin, that was as good a game as I recall from him.
In a long time for sure. I've thought he's had some decent spells (I think early last season too maybe?), but it's usually never long before he's got a niggling injury again and he loses whatever form he'd found.

More from Nufc.com

"* we'd like to apologise to anyone offended by the original draft of this report, when we misquoted the great Harry Palmer by saying smack their lass with a Christmas tree. It's definitely slap."

Pretty stupid comment even if it was meant to be tongue in cheek, considering they’re a high profile fan site.

Is that a new thing in the UK? Striking your romantic partner with a Christmas tree

Harry Palmer used to live near me. He’s not all there to be fair but some of his songs are pretty funny

"Undoubtedly they rode their luck and there may have been few opportunities for TV watchers to smack their lass with a Christmas tree in celebration of a winner, but for once this was worth tuning in for."

Wtf?

Reassured to check in here tonight and see everyone felt as positive as I did about that. Which isn't meant as a criticism of people, I just wondered if I was out of my mind to think it was actually a solid performance. I appreciated that we actually pressured the ball more in the first half than usual, and unfortunately seemed to wear down in the second.

Agree with a few other people that thought Yedlin and Schar were the standouts from the backline, and that the midfield and forwards deserve credit for how hard they at least worked. I'll never criticise Ritchie for his effort, and definitely thought his contributions in his first seasons for us were underrated, but I still think he's played out of position at LB/LWB. He just seems too uncomfortable as a defender to close down players in and on the edge of our box.

Cant believe it tbh, actually played relatively well and got a point. there were a few big performances out there today, dont think anyone's mentioned Schar and his goal line heroics yet

Darlow has got better and better. Without him and Wilson's goals, i dread to think how many points we'd have right now. There's no question that he should keep his place.

No injuries or suspensions and somehow only lose by one goal is the best we can hope for. Can't see anything but a loss. To play better than we have done recently with more attacking threat would be an added bonus but I'm probably asking for too much there.
Well that exceeded my expectations! The point is great but the way we played was even more pleasing. More please.
