I think the current bottom three are the teams that will get relegated. I know Everton and Leeds are in immediate danger too, but they've both got enough quality to get out of it.
And with Bamford back now, and Phillips set to return this month, that should be a huge boost for Leeds too.

Yeah I think that's the likely outcome, though Burnley have a habit of putting together a few 1-0 wins towards the end of the season.
Still got Norwich and Watford to play too, but ultimately I don't think they'll be able to get out of it. It'll be interesting if it gets to the last day though...

Arsenal vs Everton
Burnley vs Newcastle
Brentford vs Leeds

If Burnley beating us means Everton could go down, I might be a bit conflicted <laugh>

Mid 30s has generally always been enough for the last umpteen number of years. It has been a long time since you needed 40 points to stay up I think, probably West Ham about 15 years ago when they went down with 40 odd points was the last time.

With the games we have left we should be fine. Burnley’s little run is well and truly over, Norwich are back to being awful and Watford are losing regularly so all good below us too.

Win against Southampton and it removes all relegation fears for me, 31 points with still plenty of winnable fixtures remaining and plenty of opportunities to pick up some draws, not even my most pessimistic moments would see me thinking about relegation.
I'm usually only happy when it is mathematically confirmed, but I can see this season being one of the lowest in terms of points required for safety.
I haven't reviewed it in a while, but I seem to recall it's been trending down for a while, and the target points total most talk up as necessary for survival tends to be a lot higher than what's actually needed anymore. Although the bottle of the table is more congested that it's seemingly been in years (yet my perception might be wrong on that).

I remember last season when we were all panicking about Fulham and they ended up going down on 28 points, we are 1 point away from last year's safety margin as it stands, I can't see it being that low this year, but also not too much higher. Got a feeling 35 will be more than enough.

Wow what a turnaround.
The OP obviously needs some therapy
Now 16-1 on relegation when we were odds on not that long ago.
Outstanding transformation and if we are to survive we will be the first team to survive having not won in first 14 games
Only us ! 🤣

Looking like an improving picture.
Everton ✅
Villa ✅
Just must take belief momentum and our new robust shape into the next few fixtures, and keep the determined spirit.
We can do this ✅
Dug ourselves out of a right hole, long way to go but keep everyone fit and the atmosphere weve got atm and no reason we cant stay up comfortably.
Agreed.
The unity cannot be understated. Even hack pundits are now recognising the strength of the atmosphere and the visual displays.

Unquestionably the most febrile and atmospheric stadium once again by some way …..

I think tbh it has been significantly influential on the opposition and our two most recent home victories.

Sadly my next attended home game fix won’t be until Palace 😤

It might be the drink but I can't remember the last time we lost a PL game, must have been sometime last year surely!

If we win one of the next two (regardless if we lose the other) I think it’s decent.

The next 4 games are going to be huge for us
Villa h
West ham a
Brentford a
Brighton h

We need to get something out of these, 6 or 7 points could be realistic
