Huijsen will go to Real Madrid
I keep forgetting he's spanish
So did a lot of dutch people until this week <laugh>

He was born in Holland but lived most of his life in Spain. He's Spanish. More so than Diego Costa for sure.

More than likely, but we can dream :bandit:

Madrid should sign Saliba instead and make Arsenal and Liverpool fight over Guehi <laugh>

What an absolute **** piece of business by Juventus it all is

Aye I think the scouts and recruitment team know what they are doing. I think there was some interest in Szobozlai, but I feel like Tonali was always the main target there.

I'm just hoping our scouting team are on the ball. For all that our actual business has been s**** recently due to us panicking on PSR, let's not forget that when Liverpool gazumped us to Szobozlai we signed Tonali.

Thinking about it, im a bit worried that Liverpool are going to bollocks up our summer, as we both need a new right winger and centre back, so any of our top targets would probably prefer to go to Liverpool as they're better and will pay more. Additionally, they're in need of a striker...
Yeah I have the same concern really. They aren't getting Isak, but RW and CB we will definitely be fishing in the same pond. They can go after Guehi. They are also in the market for a starting left back, with the bmouth lad seeming the most likely.

Oh yeah absolutely, non starter if we don't get CL. Even with it be a tough ask, but he was linked to 'bigger' clubs than bmouth last summer, so you never know. I do think we will finish top five though.

Huijsen will go to a CL club so if we finish any lower than 5th there’s absolutely zero chance. Liverpool, Real and others linked too so would be tough to land him but class. Juventus fans pretty pissed they sold him for £15m and paid £20m for Kelly.

The run in feels huge now. Premier League seems to be in a transitional period which we could really take advantage of.

UCL spot, new PSR cycle and Isak new contract makes us a force.

Seeing more talk linking us with Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth. Supposedly a 50m release clause. Young player having an excellent season, and just made his international debut for Spain. There will be a lot of competition but that would be a really quality signing if we can pull it off. Extend Schar's contract and our defence looking very solid going forwards.

Darwin's value has to have plummeted since, barely gets a kick.
Doesn't matter in relation to a Saudi move, they'll still pay stupid money.

On Isak qualify for at least Europa League he'll sign a new contract....I think he'll even sign a new one in the summer with a big clause if we don't qualify the year after.

Think Nunez was 50-60m bid from Al Nassr they went for Duran after it fell through.

Kelleher being linked to Bournemouth who'll want a keeper in summer when Kepa heads back to Chelsea think he'll be around 25-30m

I just hope Saudi don't go big on Liverpool players giving them the funds to go big on Isak/Gordon.

Anyone know what the rumoured fee was for Nunez last window?

I can't see Liverpool sanctioning too much in terms of outgoings if they lose the big three, at least until they have confirmed plans in place. Kelleher will be first on the block you'd imagine, 30-40m, with the georgian keeper coming in. Good time to sell as he's proven he's good enough in the prem, and there's a lot of teams looking for a keeper this season that could afford a big fee.

I do think there's a player in Nunez somewhere, and I'd be keen to see what Howe and co could do with him (if he passes the no d******* test...). But absolutely not in any way shape or form as part ex or even a later replacement for Isak after an earlier transfer out elsewhere. He's not f***ing leaving.

I'd be surprised if Liverpool do go big on one position. If their big 3 leave they'll have a lot of squad surgery to do and will be getting no money in for them 3.

I think our finishing position this season dictates a lot. Europa league or higher and i'm fairly confident of keeping everyone. A rough last 10 games with just conference league playoffs next season I'll start feeling a bit more nervous.
Exactly this for me.

They have Salah, VVD, TAA all going out potentially, no fees incoming for any of them. That's 3 elite first team players they need to replace, the only way they chase Isak is if they skimp on all the other positions.

The only real saleable asset is going to be Nunez who's value has likely taken a massive hit and maybe Diaz. I can't really see who else can raise funds for a massive rebuild that includes Isak and 3 elite first team replacements.
TAA has been Real bound seen the summer.

Be very surprised if Salah doesn't go Saudi.

Van Djik might stay as I'd say his demands aren't as big as the other two, but he had a nice long conversation with PSG higher ups the other night would not be surprised to see something happening there.

City were interested in Diaz in the summer they could return???
Nunez was on the verge of a Saudi move in January but Liverpool pulled the plug on that as they couldn't get a replacement for him I'd say that might happen in summer or they might try to use him as bait for Isak which has been rumoured

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

by Over The Line » Tue Mar 18, 2025 3:36 pm

I do however have a feeling one will stay. Probably Van Djik.

I have no logic on this other than think they'll try and keep one of them to keep the squad harmony a little.
