I'd be surprised if Liverpool do go big on one position. If their big 3 leave they'll have a lot of squad surgery to do and will be getting no money in for them 3.

I think our finishing position this season dictates a lot. Europa league or higher and i'm fairly confident of keeping everyone. A rough last 10 games with just conference league playoffs next season I'll start feeling a bit more nervous.
Exactly this for me.

They have Salah, VVD, TAA all going out potentially, no fees incoming for any of them. That's 3 elite first team players they need to replace, the only way they chase Isak is if they skimp on all the other positions.

The only real saleable asset is going to be Nunez who's value has likely taken a massive hit and maybe Diaz. I can't really see who else can raise funds for a massive rebuild that includes Isak and 3 elite first team replacements.

And the rest. They can just piss off.

Isak's getting a statue next o Howe's when he breaks the prem top scorer record.
This. He's irreplaceable, I'd sooner sell everyone else and play him on his own...

Oh 100% if he leaves we're talking 150m+ every player has his price.

Though I do think there is more viable options out there if people wanted a striker.

Ṣ̌esko, Gyokeres even Kane as you mention all costing a lot less

I think they should activate Kane's release clause and leave us alone haha

In theory I think that Liverpool can easily spend £250m in summer. Some big earners will leave their books, and they didn't spend last year.

Despite him being out most profitable sellable asset we have to keep him by all means
If we do it, must hold on for good price but not too late in the window. Then the next hard step, spend the fee well.

We can't do what Spurs did with the Bale money https://www.givemesport.com/tottenhams- ... ale-money/

Need to be Liverpool with Coutinho money: Van Dijk, Salah, Allison all came in just before (knowing moeny coming) or after

With a lot of these players there is also the chance they might not be interested in coming here, Brentford are a solid team and Bournemouth are having a great season, I don't really see ourselves as that far ahead of these teams to guarantee their interest in a move.

If we have to sign the talent before they blow up on the big stage then I'm all for that.
Id say us winning a trophy and being in Europe makes us significantly more appealing than if we hadn't. Plus it remains to be seen whether Brentford/Bournemouth get Europe. Id also argue that they are both pretty much at the limit of how good they can be already.

Having said that, their players may be already be too highly coveted for us, and the price tag might reflect that. In general Id probably prefer us to sign prospects that improve here than big money ready made players tbh, but there should be a balance IMO, and considering we haven't really signed anyone in two years I think our team could do with at least one signing who is ready to upgrade our starting 11 on day 1

Aye for sure. I think Semenyo and Kluivert are both good players that will be difficult to prise away, important to Bmouth and either would raise the floor of our squad. Mbeumo is a player that would raise our ceiling, and what we need to be targeting. Especially as we now definitely need more quality for the extra games next season.

We f***ing won last night everyone <diva>

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

Mbeumo also being good up front seals it for me like, worth the money for covering two positions

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

Would taken Mbuemo over Semenyo any day personally - but if Mbuemo wasn't available or chose somewhere else then Semenyo could do a good job. They're both a similar age but Mbuemo's goal scoring returns are far better so would probably cost twice as much. Murphy 100% still gets games next season but obviously we need more than just him on the right when we'll have league, league cup, FA cup and europa confernce league (at minimum) next season.

On the left I was really impressed with Barnes yesterday, really worked for the team and that's probably not something he's really known for. He'll also get plenty of starts in his preferred position next season with all the games. If he plays well v Brentford it would be harsh to drop him as soon as Gordon is back, as I thought he also looked one of our more dangerous players against West Ham too.

I do think he'd be a good addition if we could get him, Kluivert. But for what he would reasonably cost, I'd rather go for an out and out right sided forward/RW. I've long since nailed my colours to the mast for Mbuemo.
This. Can play through the middle and on both wings. If we want to improve the squad and have good versatile players competing for places he'll be perfect and he's quick, technically gifted and seems to have a good attitude to work hard and improve his game so would suit in terms of character and team spirit for Howe. I don't know were he would fit into the starting XI though.. maybe RW over Murphy? But yeah definitely one to look at for the summer even though a young upcoming CB, a specialist right winger and a back-up striker (If Wilson goes) is much needed over someone like Kluviert who with Bourmouth is playing behind the striker at times in that AM/SS position. The quality is there but Semenyo or Mbeumbo would be better as there out and out right wingers. Kluviert could be the upgraded version of Wilock if we sell him (can play in the middle, LW and RW) <ok>

Believe he has a release clause for around that amount for teams in Europe
So he will be 60m for us then :bandit:

Would Kluivert really be available for that relatively little?
