A lot has changed since then, recruitment seems to take personality into account these days.
There's definitely a no d******* policy (Bruno must just brush the line...), which is why it surprises me that we keep being linked with Cunha.
It's a non runner for me that, Cunha. He's a good player but even without the d******* thing (he's clearly got a massive attitude issue) either he or us would have to change to fit him in properly. We aren't paying 60m for someone to be backup to Isak so you'd want him to come in as a starter, and he's probably best in an advanced midfield role, which just doesn't really exist in our system. At a push he could play the Bruno role maybe? A bit more advanced than, or potentially instead of Joelinton for a more attacking midfield system. But again, wouldn't be coming in as a starter.

He's nailed on to go to Man U, even if they don't win the europa league imo

Hard to believe Murphy is 30, feels like he's mid 20s at most 🤣

Murphy is going through the best patch of form of his career but we've got to look past that. It's still a priority position to strengthen. You sign someone better than Murphy but if he keeps up this form until the end of the season then it's place to lose. He'll go into next season as first choice and rightly so but he'll know he has to keep this level and goal involvement return up otherwise there's a quality new signing waiting to take his place.
This. Especially if we trying to compete on four fronts. We need the same quality on the left with Barnes and Gordon competing for the LW next season similar to Murphy needing someone weather it's a young upcoming talent like Osula or Cordena (malaga kid) or a new established RW like Mbembo/Bakayorko, etc. It's Murphy's to lose next season but we defo need someone to compete and eventually replace him as mentioned he's 30 and by the time next season finishes in 2026 he will be 31. By 2026/2027 season I'm thinking he will be more of a 2nd choice/experienced squad player veteran type figure than starter as he might start losing his speed/pace or as mentioned we might need to sell by then. What a servant though and I've always had belief in Murph you could see the potential was there with his energy, work-rate and pace but now he's scoring, assisting, passing and crossing the ball like Prime becks. It's beautiful to see. <diva> <awe>

Yeah that come out the other week, the 40m is the buyback clause for Man City. The 30m release clause only kicks in if they are relegated, which obviously looks likely but not technically confirmed yet. There's going to be legions in for him. I think his best bet is to go Notts Forest personally. But aye, I would love to sign him.

Seen that Delaps release clause is supposedly only £30m, not £40m, think that makes the option a lot more appealing for us. <scratch>

Karetsas is one we've watched.

Agree with the posters saying we need back up.

Look at our left wing we have Gordon and Barnes that's the kind of competition we need for the right.

We've watched a few right wingers over the last year
Trump?

What about that young Greek Karrat fella?

Seems to be a central midfielder but saw him play on the wings for Greece and he looked very good.
Heard he's a bit of a rough diamond.
Can see really well in the dark tho.

This.
Regardless of Murphy's form, he's our only proper right winger so we need another player in, and he's 30 so will need replaced/sold eventually
Never sell Murphy. He can go from starting RW, to backup, to dressing room DJ/Vibes man.
Mitchell raging at this comment. We're unfortunately going to have to start selling some of our players before they run out of value, in order to generate funds for PSR <erk>
